Xinglin Bridge
Xinglin bridge is a cross sea passage connecting Jimei District and Huli District in Xiamen City, Fujian Province, China. It is located on the North Sea area of Xiamen. It is one of the four arched bridges in the framework of "one main, four arched, one ring and three connected" of Xiamen's trunk road to the outside world. It is also an important exit in the north of Xiamen city.
The construction of Xinglin bridge started on March 15, 2006;
On August 5, 2008, the highway bridge closure project was completed and the whole bridge was connected;
On March 30, 2010, the bridge was put into full operation.
Xinglin bridge starts from Xinglin interchange in the west, crosses the North Sea area of Xiamen and ends at Gaoqi interchange in the East; highway bridge is a two-way six lane urban expressway with a design speed of 80 km / h; railway bridge is a double line railway with a design speed of 200 km / h.
Construction process
On January 15, 2005, the survey and Design Institute Co., Ltd., the second railway survey and Design Institute and Chongqing Transportation Research and Design Institute jointly started the design work of the project; on November 16, the preliminary design scheme of Xinglin bridge with the design concept of "Ludao Longteng" was approved by the review team organized by the Ministry of transport of the people's Republic of China On November 20, the State Oceanic Administration of the people's Republic of China organized several authoritative experts in China to review the "marine environmental impact report of Xiamen rail bridge on Fuzhou Xiamen railway" submitted by the third Institute of Oceanography.
On March 15, 2006, the construction of Xinglin bridge started and the commencement ceremony was held.
On June 28, 2007, Xinglin bridge completed the construction of North Ring Viaduct.
On October 16, Xinglin bridge completed the pouring of the box girder at the highest point of the "m" shaped bridge;
On November 30, the construction of the substructure (pile foundation, pier, etc.) of Xinglin bridge was completed;
On August 5, 2008, the highway bridge closure project of Xinglin bridge was completed, and the whole bridge was connected;
On September 1, part of the highway bridge of Xinglin bridge was opened to traffic.
On August 23, 2009, Xinglin bridge completed the last piece of T-beam laying and erection, and completed the main construction project of railway bridge.
On January 29, 2010, part of the railway bridge of Xinglin bridge was put into operation and trains were allowed to pass;
On March 30, the 2521 train from Nanjing West to Xiamen went down the railway line of Xinglin bridge, and the bridge was fully opened to traffic.
Bridge location
Xinglin bridge is located in Xiamen City, Fujian Province, China, connecting Jimei District and Huli district. It is about 3.8km away from Jimei bridge in the north, 6km away from Haicang Bridge in the South and 4km away from Xinyang bridge in the West. The bridge starts from Xinglin interchange in the west, crosses the North Sea area of Xiamen, and ends at Gaoqi interchange in the East, connecting Chenggong Avenue and Changan Road. The route of the bridge is national highway 319.

Overall layout
Xinglin bridge is composed of main girder of highway bridge, main girder of railway bridge, approach bridges on both banks, railway tracks, piers and their interchange ramps. The main bridge section is arranged from northwest to Southeast.
Design features
Xinglin bridge is designed with constant height continuous prestressed concrete box girder. The bridge deck of the upper structure is divided into several sections, symmetrical along the bridge center line, the main beam adopts single box single chamber section, and the style of the main beam of the whole bridge is unified; the cross box beam of the lower structure adopts C50 concrete, the top and bottom plates adopt vertical and horizontal two-way prestressed system; the bearing platform adopts C45 high-performance concrete. Pier adopts slab pier, pile foundation adopts bored pile, and pier body adopts C40 concrete.
Design parameters
The total length of Xinglin bridge is 8.53km, with the span arrangement of (5 × 32.7m) + 8 × (8 × 32.7m) + 3 × (8 × 50.3) + 2 × (5 × 32.7m) + 10.608m. The bridge deck is composed of three parts, the clear distance is 1m, the width of single deck is 15.5m, the one-way cross slope is 2%, the cantilever arm length of main girder is 4.9M; the height of 50.3m span box girder is 3.0m, the thickness of top slab is 26cm, the thickness of bottom slab is 26cm, the thickness of fulcrum bottom slab is 40cm, the thickness of middle span web is 55cm, and the thickness of Web slab is 80cm within 9.5m from fulcrum. 32.7m span box girder, 2.0m high. The size of top, bottom and cantilever is the same as that of 50.3m span box girder. The thickness of the web in the middle of the span is 50 cm, and the thickness of the web within 4.5 m from the fulcrum section is 75 cm.

On August 30, 2008, the lights of the whole Xinglin bridge were on, and several long pole street lights were installed on the road surface of the bridge to facilitate the traffic at night.
viewing platform
At the peak of "m" bridge deck, Xinglin bridge is equipped with two viewing platforms. The viewing platform will be separated from the driveway to form an independent area, which can not only provide people with a place to rest and watch the beautiful scenery of Xiamen, but also play a role of guiding platform in case of accidents on the bridge surface.

As of August 2010, Xiamen public security traffic administration has added 6 sets of automatic capture devices for speeding and 6 sets of automatic capture devices for lane changing in the "two bridges and one tunnel", a total of 12 sets of monitoring systems, including the "two bridges" including the Xinglin bridge.

Fare system
From May 1, 2019, Xiamen Municipal People's government will stop collecting vehicle tolls for "four bridges and one tunnel" in Xiamen, and Xinglin bridge includes "four bridges".
Traffic matters
On September 1, 2008, Xinglin bridge was opened to traffic with a speed limit of 80 km / h. motorcycles, pedestrians and non motor vehicles are prohibited on the bridge (freight vehicles can pass).

Technical problems
The mss50 / 1800 movable formwork is adopted for Xinglin bridge, and the high-altitude backward dismantling process is adopted to remove the movable wooden frame. In order to reduce the anchorage weight, reduce the number of anchorage points, avoid multiple transfer of demolition equipment, improve the demolition efficiency and save the demolition cost, the high-altitude backward moving ladder demolition process is adopted, in which the mobile wooden frame is first removed from the outer formwork and the rear guide beam, and then the mobile wooden frame is moved backward, and the main beam is removed from the rear section by section.
