Phyllostachys pubescens Forest
Also known as Xiangfei bamboo, tear bamboo, is a rare and precious bamboo in China. The outer skin of Bambusa variegata has lifelike tears and finger marks, and is brown black or purple halo.
It is said that Emperor Shun died in Cangwu when he was on a tour to the south. The two imperial concubines, e Huang and nu Ying, failed to find them.
