Feidu Gorge Scenic Spot is located in Shuping Town, Zhenping county, Ankang City, at the north foot of Daba Mountain and the southernmost tip of Shaanxi Province, 40 kilometers away from the county seat. The scenic spot borders Chengkou County of Chongqing city and Pingli County of Shaanxi Province, with unique geographical location.

The scenic spot belongs to the humid climate zone of North Subtropical Mountainous Area, with great vertical difference. There is a difference of more than 70 days between the high mountain area and the low mountain area, with four distinct seasons and mild climate. The annual average temperature is 12.1 ℃, and the annual average frost free period is 250 days, which is characterized by "no severe cold in winter and no severe heat in summer".

Because of its superior geographical location, natural conditions and forest resources with a coverage rate of 98%, it provides a good ecological environment for the growth and reproduction of rare animals and plants in the scenic area. With a forest coverage rate of more than 98%, it can be called the home of rare animals and plants, the breeding base and seed gene bank of rare animals and plants. Among them, Davidia involucrata, Davidia involucrata, Taxus chinensis, Ginkgo biloba and monocotyledon, Taxus chinensis var. mairei and so on are national first-class protected plants. Yabai, a Jurassic plant recognized as extinct in the world, was found in the scenic spot. There are as many as 31 species of national key protected animals, including clouded leopard, leopard, sika deer, golden monkey, Golden Eagle, etc.

Winding along the Feidu River, you are in a dreamlike landscape composed of green trees, red leaves, strange rocks, waterfalls and deep pools. Qinba Mountains and waters are soft and moist, which is contrary to the unsophistication of Qinling Mountains and waters, and has become the most distinctive landscape tourism resources in Shaanxi.

Qishu: one of the most important biodiversity research bases in Daba Mountain. There are many rare plants in the scenic area, especially Davidia involucrata. Davidia involucrata, known as "Chinese pigeon tree", is a relict plant left by the Cenozoic Tertiary period 10 million years ago. During the Quaternary glacial period, Davidia involucrata in most areas went extinct one after another. Only some areas in southern China survived, becoming the "living fossil" of today's flora. There are many Davidia involucrata forests in the scenic area, and a plant science park has been set up, which provides an excellent carrier for tourists to understand nature.

Grotesque stones: the grotesque stones represented by "city wall cliff" are all over the scenic area, and there are 50 named grotesque stones. It has a variety of shapes, changes, and tastes. It is like human beings, like animals, like birds, like fairy watching the moon, like the king of medicine patrolling the mountains, like monkeys picking peaches, like immortals guiding the way, like suwu shepherding, like the city wall defending the enemy The whole scenic spot is full of dangerous peaks, strange rocks, continuous ups and downs, overlapping mountains, forming a beautiful picture of mountains and rocks.

Waterfall: Feidu river flows through the scenic area, the sea level drops sharply, and many water falls form a waterfall with rich forms, especially huoshiping waterfall. Huoshiping waterfall has a drop height of 50 meters, abundant water and magnificent water potential. It can be said that the empty spring falls straight, and the thunder rushes into the river. A line of sky waterfall comes out from a huge rock. A white line is flying in the air. It is full of spirits, enchanting, long and exciting. "Today and ancient times are as long as white line, and a line breaks through the green mountains.". In an instant, he fell into the deep pool and resounded through the clouds, just like the legend of Bashan spread to the world. Huoshiping waterfall is 8 kilometers long waterfall group, known as "6 waterfall 8 beach, leisurely see Fairy".

Deep pool: deep pool is the most abundant tourism element in Feidu Gorge Scenic Area, with many pools and different forms. Due to zero pollution, the water quality reaches the direct drinking standard. Represented by Bingtan, Daluo, bobotan, Jiangjun and rhinoceros, it fully embodies the outstanding hydrological characteristics of Feidu river. Bobotan is about 3 meters long and 2 meters wide, in an oval shape. A spring falls from a four meter high cliff into the pool, lyrical, lingering and leisurely. When the water is small in winter, it is charming and beautiful, and it flows gently; when it comes to summer and autumn, the amount of water increases greatly, and the earth shaking momentum is simply breathtaking. Under the setting sun, the Feiquan spring turns into a colorful rainbow, and the pool is golden, like a treasure hidden in the mountains.

Meadow: at the end of Feidu gorge, huang'anba alpine meadow, which is praised as "Microsoft desktop" by the outside world, covers an area of 3 million mu and is the largest alpine meadow in South China. Standing on the grassland, you can see the towering mountains, the peaks and gullies, the blue sky and white clouds on the top of the mountain, the grassland and the herds of cattle and horses.

The scenic spot was developed by Zhenping Feidu River huang'anba Tourism Development Co., Ltd., with a total investment of 230 million yuan. The scenic spot passed the national 3A scenic spot certification in 2012 and the national 4A scenic spot preliminary test in 2014.
