Liaoning Liaozhong Puhe National Wetland Park is located in the lower reaches of Puhe River, Liaozhong District, Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, 55 kilometers away from the mother City Shenyang, with a total area of 8141.75 hectares, including 5272.35 hectares of wetland area, with a wetland rate of 64.8%. It mainly includes three types: River wetland, swamp wetland and constructed wetland. There are natural rivers, swamps, ditches and ponds in the park, with dense vegetation and natural ecology.

Puhe National Wetland Park is rich in wildlife resources, mainly including 133 species of birds in 29 families of 11 orders; 22 species of fish in 5 families of 3 orders; 32 species of zooplankton in 29 families of 19 orders; 6 species of amphibians; 59 species of wild plants in 33 families of 2 phyla, including 1 species of pteridophytes and 58 species of angiosperms in 32 families; 5 species of emergent plant community, 8 species of floating plant community and 7 species of submerged plant community. There are swan, kestrel, egret and other national protected animals and wild soybean and other national key protected plants.

Development and construction

Liaozhong County has invested 970 million yuan in wetland protection and restoration, scientific research and monitoring, science popularization and education, infrastructure and other construction tasks. In the future, we will strengthen the protection and restoration of wetlands in the National Wetland Park, gradually expand the wetland area, and improve the service function of wetland ecosystem.
