--Located in Yixing City, Jiangsu Province, Dajue temple is the Linji sect of Zen. It was first built in the Xianchun period of the Southern Song Dynasty by Zen master Zhining, and has been built for more than 700 years.
--The temple, rebuilt by master Xingyun in Taiwan, has a large scale. Basically, the temple is a volunteer to maintain order and service. In addition, tickets and incense are free here.

Dajue Temple
Dajue temple, also known as Xishan Dajue temple, is located at the foot of the balcony in Haidian District of Beijing. It was built in 1068, the fourth year of Xianyong in Liao Dynasty, and is called Qingshuiyuan. In Jin Dynasty, Dajue temple was one of the eight watersheds in Xishan of jinzhangzong. Later, it was renamed Lingquan temple. After reconstruction in Ming Dynasty, it was renamed Dajue temple.
Dajue temple is famous for its clear spring, ancient trees, Magnolia and elegant environment. There are 160 ancient trees in the temple, including 1000 year old gingko, 300 year old magnolia, ancient Sasa tree, pine and cypress, etc. Magnolia in Dajue temple, lilac in Fayuan temple and peony in Chongxiao temple are known as the three major flower temples in Beijing. Dajue Temple eight unique: ancient temple orchid, Millennium ginkgo, old rattan cypress, rat Li cypress, Lingquan spring, Liao Dynasty ancient monument, pine and cypress pagoda, Biyun Qingchi.
Historical evolution
In 1068, Deng conggui, a good man, contributed to the construction of the temple. And engraved "the Tripitaka", known as Qingshuiyuan.
Jin Dynasty became the Royal Palace, and Jin Zhangzong became one of the eight watersheds in Xishan.
In 1428, it was rebuilt and renamed Dajue temple.

In 1720, Prince Yong built Dajue temple, adding Siyi hall and lingyao Pavilion. After completion, Jialing xingyin was recommended as the abbot of Dajue temple.

In the 1930s, the mountain gate was struck by lightning and destroyed.
In the early days of liberation, temples were deserted and some temples were destroyed.
In 1952, Beijing Forestry University was established here as a temporary school building.
In 1972, the third Buddha of Zhihua temple in Beijing moved to Dajue temple.
In August 1979, Dajue temple was listed in the second batch of cultural relics protection units in Beijing.
In 1988, Dajue temple was handed over to Beijing Municipal Bureau of cultural relics.
It was officially opened on April 10, 1992.
In November 2003, the large hanging statue of Nanhai Guanyin on the back of wuliangshou Buddha Hall was repaired, and 24 Buddha statues including the four heavenly kings and Wei Tuo were restored.
On May 25, 2006, Dajue temple, as an ancient building from Ming Dynasty to Qing Dynasty, was approved by the State Council to be listed in the Sixth Batch of national key cultural relics protection units.

Temple building: the temple faces east from the west, and the mountain gate faces the rising sun. It reflects the architectural pattern of Qidan people in the Liao Dynasty. The temple is built according to the mountain situation, and is mainly composed of the temple buildings on the Middle Road, the palace on the South Road and the monk's house on the North Road, covering a total area of 6000 square meters. From the mountain gate to the Dragon King Hall, there are Mountain Gate, stele Pavilion, release pool, bell tower and Drum Tower, Tianwang hall, Daxiong hall, wuliangshou Buddha Hall, Dabei altar, xieyunxuan and yulanyuan. At the back of the temple, which is the highest place, there are temple gardens, including Jialing monk tower, Lingquan pool, Longwang hall and lingyao Pavilion. In the northwest of the temple, there is a clear spring in liziyu, which flows into Lingquan pool. From Lingquan pool, it flows through the whole temple in two ways, and finally gathers in the release pool in front of Tianwang hall. The gate of Dajue temple in the middle road is a three intermittent mountain style building, with brick and stone structure below and an arch on it. There is a plaque "Chijian Dajue Temple" on it, and the top is a wooden arch and roof.
Jialing relic tower
Jialing relic pagoda, also known as Jialing monk pagoda and Dajue Temple Pagoda, was built in 1747, the 12th year of Emperor Qianlong.
Jialing relic tower stands at the highest point of the temple to the north of Dabei hall. It is 12 meters high. It is a covered bowl tower, similar to the white tower of Yong'an temple in Beihai. The base of Jialing relic pagoda is a two-story xumizuo. The octagonal xumizuo below is engraved with patterns of Yanglian and Fulian. Brick carvings are inlaid in the center and around of the eight faces. The corner pillars at the corner have patterns of Lianzhu and Ruyi. The round xumizuo above is engraved with patterns of Yanglian and Fulian, and the waist has patterns of flowers and plants. There are three layers of astringent diamond rings on the top of xumizuo. On the top is the tower belly. There is a pot door on the front of the tower belly. Under the pot door, there is a seat decorated with beads. Around the pot door, there are flame patterns. On the false door, there are stone windows. On the belly of the pagoda, there are thirteen layers of phase wheel, without base. On the phase wheel, there is a Tasha composed of umbrella cover and jewels. The umbrella cover is engraved with flowing cloud pattern and Buddha character, and hung with bronze duo. The jewels on the top of the brake are decorated with banana leaf patterns.
Measureless life Buddha
There is a Buddha statue of wuliangshou in Dajue temple, which is located in the middle of wuliangshou temple. On the left and right are the standing statues of Guanyin Bodhisattva and dashizhi Bodhisattva. Wuliangshou Buddha, Guanyin Bodhisattva and dashizhi Bodhisattva are known as the "three saints of the west". Worshiping the three saints is the main purpose of pilgrims to Dajue temple.
Eight unique temples
Orchid incense in ancient temple: Orchid incense in ancient temple refers to the white magnolia tree more than 10 meters high in Siyi hall. It is said that it was transplanted from Sichuan by Jialing Zen master in Yongzheng period of Qing Dynasty. The tree is over 300 years old. Magnolia crown is huge, the flower is as big as fist, for white double petals, petals white, aroma. Magnolia flowers bloom around the Qingming Festival every year, and last until Guyu. Therefore, Magnolia in Dajue temple is a beautiful scene for spring outing in Beijing. Magnolia from Dajue temple, together with lilac from Fayuan temple and Peony from Chongxiao temple, was once known as the three major Temple flowers in old Beijing.
Millennium ginkgo: in front of wuliangshou hall, there is a ginkgo tree on both sides. The male ginkgo biloba in the north is said to have been planted in the Liao Dynasty. It has a history of more than 900 years, so it is called the Millennium ginkgo biloba and the "king of Ginkgo biloba" in the Liao Dynasty. Ginkgo trees are about 25 meters high and 7.5 meters in diameter at breast height. Qianlong once wrote a poem praising: "Coca does not count the number of people around, the leaves are luxuriant, and the branches are rich. Reading the vicissitudes of the world is like a dream, and the record of the great opening of the mountain is still vague. "
Old rattan to cypress: there is an old cypress by the bridge of Gongde pool in the gate of Dajue temple, on which the old rattan branches out from the lower trunk.
Rat plum cypress: in siyitang courtyard, to the west of ancient magnolia, there is a big cypress tree, which is divided into two main branches at a height of more than 1 meter, and a rat plum tree grows at the fork, so it is called rat plum cypress
Lingquan spring: in front of Longwan hall, the highest part of the temple, there is a Fangxing pool. The Lingquan in the back of the mountain gathers on the dragon head of the pool and sprays into the pool.
Ancient stele of the Liao Dynasty: on the northwest side of Dabei hall, there is an ancient stele of the Liao Dynasty, engraved with Tianwang Temple Zhiyan's "records of the creation of Tibetan scriptures by Qingshui temple in balcony mountain". According to the inscriptions on the stele, it was established in March 1068 by the will of emperor daozong and Empress Dowager Xiao of Liao Dynasty.
Pine and cypress embracing Tower: Jialing relic tower is surrounded by pine and cypress. There is a pine tree in the South and a cypress tree in the north. The branches of pine and cypress grow towards the white tower. It seems that they want to reach out and embrace the white tower, so it is called pine and cypress embracing tower.
Biyunqingchi: in the North Magnolia courtyard, there is a pool carved with a whole piece of black marble. The spring water flowing from the pool is stored in the pool and flows down the channel. There are three big characters "Bi Yun Qing" on the stone.
In addition to the bajue, there are other unique scenic spots in the temple, such as the ginkgo tree, the 500 year old saposha tree, and the spring water flowing from the front of the Dragon King Hall. Jiuzi baomu is also very famous.
