Shaoyang Museum
Shaoyang museum is located in Shaoyang culture and Art Center (the intersection of Shaoyang Avenue and Xinhua South Road). It undertakes the tasks of collection, protection and research, exhibition and education of Shaoyang historical relics. The building is four stories high with a total area of 16000 square meters. Among them, the first floor is the basic exhibition hall of the museum, which is divided into ancient part, modern part and modern part; the second floor is the special exhibition hall of the museum, which is divided into resource scenery, celebrity style and Shaoshang style; the third floor is the Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum; the fourth floor is the office area and cultural relics warehouse of the Municipal Bureau of cultural relics, Municipal Museum and municipal intangible cultural heritage protection and inheritance Institute.
Development history
Historical evolution
Shaoyang is an ancient city with a history of more than 2000 years, but it has never had its own museum. In March 2013, Shaoyang Museum, as a part of the city's cultural and Art Center, started construction. With a total investment of over 87 million yuan and a construction area of 16000 square meters, the museum is divided into basic exhibition area, special exhibition area and intangible cultural heritage exhibition area. The basic exhibition is divided into three parts: ancient, modern and modern. In the special exhibition area, there are three special topics of "resources scenery", "celebrity style" and "Shaoshang style". The intangible cultural heritage exhibition is divided into five parts: preface hall, Shaofeng Shao custom, Shaoren Shaoyi, Shaoyin Shaoyun and Weiting hall, with a total of more than 1100 articles on display. On the afternoon of January 22, 2017, Shaoyang Museum opened.
After the opening of Shaoyang Museum, it will give full play to the three functions of museum collection and storage, education and exhibition, research and utilization, and open to the public free of charge. The second classroom, electronic reading room, intangible cultural heritage inheritor studio and manual classroom will be set up in succession.
Exhibition hall distribution
Shaoyang museum is located in the west of Shaoyang culture and Art Center (Ailian Culture Square), with four floors and modern structure. The building area is 16000 square meters. Museum display design is divided into basic display area, special display area and intangible cultural heritage display area. There are three parts in the basic exhibition area: the ancient part, the modern part and the modern part; the three topics in the special exhibition area are resources scenery, celebrity style and Shaoshang style. The exhibition of intangible cultural heritage is divided into five parts: preface hall, Shaofeng shaosu hall, Shaoren Shaoyi hall, Shaoyin Shaoyun hall and tail hall, with a total of more than 1400 cultural relics on display.
In the hall on the first floor of the museum, "we are all Shaoyang people", a majestic bronze sculpture, attracts people's attention. According to reports, the sculpture is 15.8 meters high and 13 meters wide. It is the largest sculpture in Hunan Province. The work is elaborately constructed by more than 30 workers for one month, including Shaoyang celebrities, historical and cultural buildings, tourist attractions, 44 nationalities and many other elements.
Cultural relics donation
Shaoyang Museum accepts 375 cultural relics donation
In 2018, Shaoyang Museum held the cultural relics donation and certification ceremony of "May 18 International Museum Day". The 375 cultural relics donated by the enthusiasts will be kept in the Municipal Museum forever in the future.
In March, the Municipal Museum announced that it began to accept cultural relics donations from the society. A total of 375 pieces of cultural relics have been donated by people from all walks of life, including 2 national second-class cultural relics and 18 third-class cultural relics. Hu Guohai, the curator of the Municipal Museum, said happily: "this fully demonstrates the feelings of folk collectors that" single happiness is not as good as common happiness ". These donated cultural relics will further enrich the collection and display of the Municipal Museum and enrich the spiritual and cultural life of Shaoyang people."
Donor Tan Fangying is a collector of iron tripod jars. For more than ten years, he has collected more than 100 iron tripod jars from Ming and Qing Dynasties in Suining. In August 2017, he placed part of his collection, 128 iron tripod jars, in the baiding special exhibition hall opened by the Municipal Museum for free visit. This time, he donated four cultural relics to the museum, including the Ming Chongzhen animal face tripod iron jar, the Republic of China bronze pot, the Republic of China blue and white four series porcelain pot and the Republic of China dragon pattern blue and white porcelain censer. Among them, the Ming Chongzhen animal face tripod iron jar was identified as the national second-class cultural relics by the municipal cultural relics appraisal committee experts.
Tan Fangying said that by donating her cultural relics, she hopes that the cultural relics can be more effectively protected and utilized, so as to truly "live" up!
The donation ceremony presented the donors with collection certificates. At the same time, the museum also selected 150 pieces from the donated cultural relics and held an exhibition of donated cultural relics for the public to visit.
Famous painter Tan Ren donates Chinese paintings to the Museum
On May 18, 2019, the donation ceremony of famous painter Tan Ren's traditional Chinese painting works was held in Shaoyang Museum, where 11 Traditional Chinese painting works with landscape, flowers and birds as themes were donated. Vice Mayor Li Huahe attended the donation ceremony and presented Tan Ren with a donation certificate.
Tan Ren was born in 1938 in Xinshao county. He has been a member of China Artists Association and a consultant of Changsha Artists Association. He has been engaged in landscape, flower and bird painting for decades. His works have participated in national, provincial and municipal art exhibitions and won many awards. He has published works selected from Tan Ren's painting exhibition, works collection of Tan Ren's painting exhibition and a journey of mountains and rivers (works collection of sketching), etc. Most of his works are collected by collectors. His works are both traditional and natural. He has a unique style and is known as "Tan Jia Yang".
