Sanchahe National Wetland Park in Anhui Province is a well preserved natural wetland in Huaihe River Basin.

Anhui Sanchahe National Wetland Park is located in Huaishang District of Bengbu City, 5km away from the main urban area of Bengbu City and 4.5km away from the seat of Huaishang district government, including Sanchahe wetland and some sections of beifei river. Its geographical coordinates are 117 ° 18 ′ 52 "~ 117 ° 22 ′ 44" E and 33 ° 00 ′ 01 "~ 33 ° 04 ′ 28" n, with a total area of 801.50 hectares and a wetland area of 529.60 hectares, with a wetland rate of 66.07%. The functional area is divided into conservation area, restoration and reconstruction area and reasonable utilization area.
Sanchahe wetland is located in the middle of Huaihe River Basin and the north of Anhui Province. It is a well preserved natural wetland in Huaihe River Basin. Wetland types are rich, including swamp wetland, Lake wetland, river wetland and Reservoir Wetland, which are typical and representative in Huaihe River Basin.
In August 2016, Anhui Sanchahe National Wetland Park was approved as a national wetland park by the Ministry of natural resources and the State Forestry and grassland administration.

Anhui Sanchahe National Wetland Park is located at the junction of caolaoji and Meiqiao towns in Huaishang District, Bengbu City, Anhui Province, about 5 km away from the main urban area. It includes Sancha River Wetland and part of beifei river reach. The four reaches are: the southeast boundary is from north to South bounded by FeiGuang section of caolaoji dike, Qinghe section of caolaoji dike of beifei River, No.7 sluice, intersection of Chaoyang North Road and bengning expressway; the south boundary is from west to East bounded by Chaoyang North Road, 101 The provincial highway is bounded by beifei river dike; in the west, from south to north, it is bounded by Meiqiao dike of beifei River, the junction of Sancha River and beifei River, Shaohe dike of Sancha River and Changfei village; in the north, it is bounded by Changfei village, Zhouji dike and caolaoji dike from West to East. Climatic characteristics
Anhui Sanchahe National Wetland Park is located on the boundary line between the north subtropical zone and the warm temperate zone. It belongs to the warm temperate zone with semi humid monsoon climate. The monsoon is significant, the climate is mild, and the light, heat and water resources are abundant. The annual sunshine duration is 2167.5 hours and the sunshine rate is 49%. The annual average temperature is 15.1 ℃, the relative humidity is 73%, the average frost free period is 217 days, the average freezing period is 39 days, and the dominant wind is northeast wind. The annual average precipitation is 900 mm, the annual maximum precipitation is 1565 mm, and the annual minimum precipitation is 376 mm. The distribution of rainfall in the year is not balanced, mainly concentrated in June to September, accounting for about 60% - 80% of the annual precipitation. The main meteorological disaster is drought and flood, followed by cold wave, hail, continuous rain and dry hot wind.

The Huaishang area of the Sanchahe wetland is high in the north and South and low in the middle. The lowest area is located on both sides of the beifei River and in the middle of the Sanchahe wetland, with an elevation of about 15-16m; the elevation of the surrounding terrain is about 16-20m. The whole wetland is wedge-shaped, located in the central catchment area of the region. The elevation of both sides of Sancha River and beifei river is below 16 meters, so the wetland park is prone to water logging.
hydrographic features
The groundwater level of Sanchahe National Wetland Park in Anhui Province is high and water resources are abundant. The larger water system on the North Bank of the Huaihe River passes through the beifei River, forming more than 2000 hectares of water flow and low-lying land. The rivers flowing through the wetland are beifei River, Qinggou River, qinger intercepting ditch and laofei river. Beifei river is a tributary of Huaihe River. It is connected with Sifang Lake Nature Reserve on the top and Xiangjian lake and Tuohu Lake Nature Reserve on the bottom. The ground elevation of both banks is between 15.0-19.0 meters. Qinggou River and qinger intercepting ditch are both artificially excavated rivers, which originate from huaihongxin river. Laofei river is a seasonal river in the wetland. The upstream of Sancha River is huangmagou, which is connected with it through Qinggou River and qinger intercepting ditch; the downstream is Diaoyutai lake, which is connected with it through beifei river.

Shuangdun Neolithic site
Shuangdun site, located in the north of Shuangdun village, xiaobengbu Town, Huaishang District, Bengbu City, Anhui Province, is a single Neolithic platform site more than 7300 years ago, with a central area of about 12000 square meters. The site was discovered in 1985 and excavated three times in 1992, covering an area of 375 square meters. A large number of pottery, stone tools, bone horn ware, clam ware, burnt earth building remains, animal bones, conch shells and so on were unearthed. There are various kinds of tools for production and daily use, as well as a large number of carved symbols and clay sculptures. It is the earliest Neolithic cultural remains found in the middle reaches of the Huaihe River, and it is a strong evidence of the early civilization of the Huaihe River Basin.
Tomb No.1 of Chunqiu in Shuangdun
Shuangdun tomb 1 is located in Shuangdun village, xiaobengbu Town, Huaishang District, 3 kilometers north of Huaihe River in Bengbu City. It has been confirmed that the owner of this spring and autumn tomb, which has been more than 2000 years, is Bai, the king of Zhongli state in the spring and Autumn period. The structure of Chunqiu No.1 tomb in Shuangdun, Bengbu is mainly composed of three parts: mound, passage and pit. The mound is large, steamed bread shaped, 9 meters high and 60 meters in diameter. It is one of the earliest mounds in the Huaihe River Basin.

Infrastructure
In 2005, Huaishang district government established a leading group for the construction of Sanchahe Wetland Park.
On February 21, 2006, Huaishang district government commissioned East China Normal University to carry out the project of "resource investigation and conceptual planning research of Sanhe Wetland Park".
On February 28, 2006, Sanchahe provincial Wetland Park was declared.
In September 2006, the construction and Management Committee of Sanchahe Wetland Park was established.
On February 7, 2007, the Provincial Forestry Department approved the construction pilot of "Anhui Sanchahe provincial Wetland Park".
In August 2008, the leading group for the comprehensive development and construction of Sanchahe Wetland Park in Huaishang district was established.
On December 23, 2009, the State Forestry Administration approved Sanchahe Wetland Park to carry out the pilot work of National Wetland Park.
