Heze Library

Heze library is located at no.669 Danyang Road, Heze City, Shandong Province, China. It is a modern and intelligent library integrating newspaper reading, book borrowing, library information, science and technology and government information, cultural information resource sharing project, multimedia electronic reading, exhibition and academic exchange. It provides free services to the society throughout the year and is a national first-class library.

Heze library has a total land area of 42243 square meters and a building area of 29486 square meters. The building height of the library is about 24 meters, the volume of books is about 1.35 million, and the number of reading seats is about 1200.

On May 14, 2018, the results of the sixth national evaluation and grading of public libraries at or above the county level were announced, and Heze library was rated as a first-class library.

Historical evolution

Heze library is a key livelihood project of the municipal government. It was officially started on August 5, 2011 with an investment of nearly 300 million yuan. It was officially opened on May 5, 2013.

Heze library has a total land area of 42243 square meters and a building area of 29486 square meters. The library design includes two parts: the library and the landscape design of Shengli square. The architectural shape of the library is like a three-dimensional book, and the facade shape of the building highlights the cultural connotation and has a sense of delicacy. The height of the library building is about 24 meters.

There are reading rooms for Social Sciences, self-study, children, newspapers, periodicals, newspapers and periodicals, the visually impaired, the elderly, local literature, ancient books, calligraphy and painting, digital resources, etc.; lending rooms for self-study, social sciences, children, etc.; at the same time, there are also Nishan Academy, government information disclosure inquiry center, cultural information resource sharing engineering center, citizen Learning Center, network information center, book exhibition Center, Nishan college, lecture hall, study room, public electronic reading room and other service functions. The library adopts the domestic advanced Interlib document management system and RFID self-service borrowing and returning system to realize the self-service card processing machine, self-service inquiry machine, self-service borrowing and returning books, e-newspaper reader and e-book borrowing and returning machine. It is equipped with advanced LAN and portal website. The library's business basically realizes the automatic management, and can provide readers with many services such as document borrowing, reading, information retrieval and lectures for free Type, multi-level comprehensive service.

Collection resources

The library has a designed collection of 1.5 million books, more than 1200 seats and an average daily reception capacity of 5000 people. The library not only has a rich collection of books and newspapers, but also has a large number of digital resources and related service facilities.

By the end of 2017, the library had nearly 500000 paper books, 500000 e-books, more than 20000 hours of audio and video materials, more than 300 newspapers per year, and more than 1200 periodicals per year.

Awards

Heze library was rated as "national first-class library" by the Ministry of culture, as "advanced unit of nationwide reading" by the Chinese Library Association in 2015, as "Shandong social science popularization education base" by the Publicity Department of the provincial Party committee and the Provincial Federation of Social Sciences, as "provincial popular science education base" by the Provincial Association for science and technology, and as "municipal civilized unit" by the municipal civilization office, It has been rated as A-level institution for three consecutive years, and won the excellent organization award of the 9th, 10th and 11th provincial reading and recitation competition, the third prize of the 7th provincial public library business competition, the excellent organization award for soliciting articles at the academic annual meeting of the new five provinces Library Society of Shandong, Henan, Anhui and Jiangxi in 2014 and the academic annual meeting of the new eight provinces Library Society of Shandong, Henan, Anhui and Jiangxi in 2016.

Organization setup

Heze library was established on May 14, 2013 with the approval of Heze Municipal Establishment Committee (Heze No. 13). It is a sub county financial allocation institution under Heze Municipal Bureau of culture, radio, television, press and publication, with a staff of 40. There are six departments in the library, including office, acquisition and editing department, borrowing and reading department, children's Department, newspaper department and digital technology department.
