On both sides of huanggangliang, there are glacial relics such as ice bucket, U-shaped Valley, Jiaofeng, terminal moraine dike, lateral moraine dike, streaked stone Boulder, which are called Quaternary glacial relics of ice Valley Forest sea.
Landscape types
(1) The natural forest landscape is mostly Larch or spruce forest, with vigorous growth of trees and rich forest atmosphere, which is a rare natural forest community in northern part of the Great Wall.
(2) Betula platyphylla and Populus davidiana forest are distributed along the natural undulating terrain. The landscape features are that the birch and Populus davidiana are mostly in the form of several clumps, forming a rich plant community landscape.

Experts and scholars from Japan and China have visited huanggangliang for many times. In 2001, the Chinese branch of UNESCO Man and biosphere annual meeting was held in huanggangliang National Forest Park. At the same time, the park was approved by the National Committee of Chinese man and biosphere to be included in the network of biosphere reserves in China.
