Tan Xinpei Park

Tan Xinpei Park, located in the north of Zhifang City, Jiangxia District, Wuhan City, was completed in three phases.

Introduction to construction

In the first phase of the project, the gate of the park faces Wenhua Road in the southwest and radiates in all directions with a brick like circular square as the center. On the right side of the gate is a low half moon shaped gate tower, on which is engraved "Tan Xinpei Park" inscribed by the famous calligrapher Ouyang Zhongshi.

In the north of the square, there is a bronze statue of Tan Xinpei sitting all over. On the west side of the square, there are five relief walls with ten sides, in which are engraved with related legends and text indexes of Chinese Peking Opera and Tan school art, and a cultural corridor of Peking Opera. There are seven pedestrian bridges on a gentle River in the park, each named after Tan Xinpei's representative Peking Opera. On the guardrails on both sides of the footbridge, the contents and characters of the play are engraved in the form of comic strips.

The second phase of the project includes Tan Xinpei's ancestral home (Museum), Ming and Qing antique street and other projects.

The third phase includes Tan Xinpei Grand Theater and other projects.

geographical position

Tan Xinpei park is located in the north of Zhifang District, Jiangxia District, at the intersection of Shiji street and Wenhua North Road. It is adjacent to Dahua mountain in the East, Bafen mountain in the west, the main urban area in the South and Tangxun Lake in the north. The first phase of the park was officially started in May 2008 and officially opened on May 22, 2009.

Area scale

The planning area of the park is more than 3000 mu, of which the water surface accounts for two-thirds. The first phase of the park covers an area of 120 mu, with an investment of more than 50 million yuan. The second phase of the project covers an area of more than 1000 mu, with a planned investment of more than 100 million yuan to build Tan Xinpei memorial hall, Tan Xinpei Pavilion, ancient theater and wetland landscape. The third phase project covers an area of 2000 mu, with a planned investment of 150 million yuan to build Tan Xinpei Grand Theater, five-star Tan Xinpei Hotel and Tangxun Lake wetland landscape.

Five firsts

The construction of Tan Xinpei park has several firsts: the four characters of "a great master" carved in front of Tan Xinpei's bronze statue was inscribed by Li Ruihuan, former chairman of the CPPCC National Committee; Tan Xinpei's life and artistic achievements were written by Liu Zengfu, a famous expert in Peking opera history; the five characters of "Tan Xinpei Park" were inscribed by Ouyang Zhongshi, a famous calligrapher; and Tan Xinpei's bronze statue was created by Yan Youren, a famous sculptor in Shanghai Ten glass walls of Peking Opera sculptures are made into a semi transparent mixture of frozen stone and metal for the first time, showing the texture and new technology light source, forming a seven color gradual change and lasting light, which has both modern means and a heavy sense of history.

The park pursues simplicity and nature. It takes natural factors and humanistic connotation as the main body of the park. The classical characteristics and modern elements penetrate into each other to achieve the state of mutual integration of nature and humanity, reflecting the concept of harmony among heaven, earth and human.
