Yangtai mountain forest park is located in the northwest of Shenzhen city. It is located in the center of the administrative territory of Shenzhen City, with a total area of 28.52 square kilometers. It is located at the intersection of Bao'an District, Longhua District and Nanshan District, 10 kilometers away from the Civic Center, 12 kilometers away from the seat of Bao'an District government, and 6 kilometers away from the seat of Nanshan District government.

Yangtai mountain, the main part of the park, is 587.1 meters above sea level, known as "the first peak in western Shenzhen". During the Anti Japanese War, the Yangtai mountain guerrillas rescued 400 well-known Chinese and foreign cultural figures and patriots from Hong Kong occupied by the Japanese aggressors. So Yangtai mountain is called "hero mountain". In 2004, "Yangtai Diecui" was rated as one of the eight scenic spots in Shenzhen.

There are 5 small and medium-sized reservoirs and more than 20 mountain springs and streams in the park. It is the birthplace of Shiyan River, Baimang River and Mashan River in Shenzhen and the upstream water source of Shiyan, Xili and Tiegang reservoirs. The park is rich in wild animal and plant resources. According to the survey and statistics, there are 452 species of higher plants in 114 families, 82 species of vertebrates, and 8 species of animals and plants under the state key protection.

The terrain trend of Yangtai mountain forest park takes dayantai mountain as the center and extends to all sides, forming the features of high hills and low mountains with high in the middle and low on all sides. The highest part of the park is dayangtai mountain at the junction of Shiyan and Xili, with an altitude of 587.1 meters. It is known as the first peak in western Shenzhen. The lowest part is located in Nanshan District, with an altitude of 33.4 meters and a relative altitude of 553.7 meters. Yangtai mountain forest park has many peaks, rocks, valleys and water sources. There are four reservoirs and pools in the valley, and natural springs can be seen everywhere.

Yangtaishan Forest Park belongs to the south subtropical marine monsoon climate zone, with long sunshine, high temperature, abundant rainfall, high humidity, and annual average temperature of 22 ℃. In January, the coldest month of the year, the monthly average temperature is 14 ℃, and the extreme minimum temperature is 0.5 ℃; in July, the hottest month, the monthly average temperature is 29.8 ℃, and the extreme maximum temperature is 38.7 ℃. The annual average rainfall is 1667 mm, the annual average evaporation is 1500-1800 mm, the sunshine hours are longer, the average annual average is 2281 hours, the annual average humidity is 79%, and there is no frost in the whole year.

There are more than 20 streams of stream pool type. It is the birthplace of Shiyan River, Baimang River and Mashan River in Shenzhen. It is also the upstream water source of Shiyan Reservoir, Xili reservoir and Tiegang reservoir.

There are five small and medium-sized reservoirs in the park, including Wushan reservoir, Gaofeng reservoir, LENGSHUIKENG reservoir, shipotou reservoir and Jianfeng reservoir. It is an important water source ecological protection area in Shenzhen.

Yangtaishan Forest Park has a long sunshine time, mild and humid climate. The zonal vegetation is a secondary subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forest with a canopy density between 0.8 and 0.9. The forest vegetation is well preserved.

There are 452 species of vascular plants belonging to 114 families in the park. Among them, there are 26 species in 13 families of pteridophytes, 4 species in 3 families of gymnosperms and 422 species in 98 families of angiosperms. The main plants are Syzygium rubrum, Syzygium odoratum, Myrica rubra, Syzygium massoniana, Syzygium chinense, Syzygium chinense, Sapium sebiferum, Alpinia officinalis, Liquidambar formosana, Cinnamomum camphora, Aquilaria, Cinnamomum leopardum, etc.

In addition, according to the list of national key protected wild plants (the first batch) issued by the State Council in 1999, five species of plants in the park, such as Alsophila spinulosa, golden dog, cycadium, Cinnamomum camphora and Aquilaria odorifera, are national class II key protected wild plants. Among them, Alsophila spinulosa and cycadium are mostly distributed in the gully and both sides of the gully, with about 100 plants each; golden dogs are more common, mostly scattered or sometimes in the forest; Aquilaria sinensis is also widely distributed in the forest; wild camphor trees are rare, mostly on both sides of the gully.

In addition, there are 77 ancient trees in the park, mainly distributed in Longyan village, xinweizi village and taro lotus pond. More than 30 ancient litchi trees with 200 years old in the 100 year old orchard in the east of xinweizi village are the largest.

Animal resources

There are more than 120 kinds of wild animals in the park, including pangolin, python, kitten, wild boar, mangouse, wild macaque, tiger frog, salamander, brown winged crow magpie, owl, white Bulbul, etc. Yangtaishan area is the second highest diversity area of terrestrial vertebrates in Shenzhen. It is the only distribution area of gecko in Shenzhen, and only 4 gecko were found in several surveys.

There are 105 species of birds belonging to 79 genera, 36 families, 14 orders in Yangtaishan Forest Park, among which 42 species belong to 33 genera, 17 families, 13 orders in non Passeriformes, accounting for 40.0% of the total number of bird species; 63 species belong to 46 genera, 19 families in Passeriformes, accounting for 60.0% of the total number of air species.

"Eight sceneries of Yangtai mountain" is the representative of Yangtai mountain scenery, including eight highlights of Yangtai mountain, such as "Yangtai viewing the sea", "Cuiling Liulan", "colorful Lake", "Valley Baoyu", "Youjian Qinyin", "Lingshi Yingsheng", "Tianzhu playing in the water", "watching Pengcheng".

The name of the scenic spot comes from a legend

It is said that in ancient times, Bao'an was hit by the worst drought in a hundred years. There was no rain for several years. The rivers stopped flowing, the lakes and ponds dried up, the farmland cracked, the crops withered, and it was extremely difficult for people and livestock to drink water. Even in some places, people and livestock died of thirst. There are seven young and beautiful girls in Nantou city. They can't bear people's pain and are determined to pray for rain with their sincerity. So the seven girls bravely climbed to the top of Yangtai mountain, burning incense and kneeling in front of the sky, praying for rain and blessing the villagers. The seven girls were starving, eating and sleeping in the open, and worshiping sincerely. They broke their scalp, bled to the top of the mountain, knelt on the ground, and broke their knees, praying for Xiangyu to save all living beings. Until the third day, the sky was full of rain and clouds, lightning and thunder, and the sweet rain was not seen for many years. Although the seven girls were extremely tired and scarred, they prayed for rain and showed a happy smile. When the villagers knew that Ganyu was the demand of the seven girls, they all knelt down and had to look up to heaven to show their respect. In memory of these seven legendary women who sacrificed themselves to save others, people call the peak of Yangtai mountain Nen Qiniang cave. Every few days when they were praying for rain, every family would burn incense and worship. The incense burner remains of the seven girls can still be seen on Yangtai mountain.

Three entrance squares

Dalang entrance square (Dalang Cultural Park)

Located in the east of Yangtai Mountain Forest Park, it is the main entrance of the park, and construction started in May 2010. The total entrance area of Yangtai mountain forest park is 6.05 hectares, of which the construction area of mountaineering square is 4.09 hectares. To the north of the mountaineering square is Bulong highway, to the southwest is Fulong road viaduct, and to the south is Laiwu reservoir, so the traffic is very convenient.

On April 29, 2011, the first phase of Dalang entrance square of Yangtaishan Forest Park was completed and opened.

On December 12, 2012, Dalang Cultural Park held the opening ceremony and the unveiling ceremony of the theme sculpture of "victory rescue" in Dalang Yangtai Mountain Forest Park Square (phase II), that is, the second phase project of Dalang entrance square of Yangtai Mountain Forest Park was completed and put into use.

The second phase of Dalang entrance square of Yangtaishan Forest Park is located between the dam toe of laiwushan reservoir and Fulong Road, covering an area of about 64000 square meters. The project design makes full use of the existing ponds, spillways, depressions and other terrain to push mountains and manage water, and takes plants as the main landscaping elements to create five plant community scenic spots with different ornamental characteristics of flowers, fruits, colors, fragrance and posture, such as Qinxiang garden, Baiguo garden, Palm Garden, Liujin Valley and yicaipo, and spare no effort to build a leisure and eco-tourism resort in Yangtai mountain countryside A 20 meter high sculpture with the theme of "victory rescue" is set up to commemorate the historical event of Dongjiang column secretly rescuing more than 800 cultural celebrities from Hong Kong under the order of the CPC Central Committee during the Anti Japanese war.

Shiyan Yangtai mountain square

It is located at the southeast end of Longteng Road, longyanshan village, Shiyan street, Bao'an District. There is a Yangtai mountain archway in Longteng Road, which is the entrance to Shiyan of Yangtai mountain.

On December 29, 2012, Shiyan Yangtai mountain climbing square was completed to welcome guests. The square is located at the foot of dayantai area of Yangtai Mountain Forest Park, with a construction area of about 30000 square meters. It is composed of front square, Lotus Square, lotus pool, ecological park, as well as Suzhou style buildings, corridors and climbing corridors on both sides of the square, which can meet the diversified needs of leisure tourists and fitness groups.
