Christianity

Christianity is the general name of all the sects that regard Jesus Christ as the Savior, also known as Christian religion. In the first century AD, it originated in the Roman province of Palestine (today's Israel, Palestine and Jordan). Its foundation is the birth, preaching, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Christianity mainly includes: Catholicism, Protestantism, orthodox and some other smaller denominations. In China, Protestantism is usually called Christianity because of historical translation. In order to explain the exact concept of "Christianity", this entry calls "Protestantism" as "Protestantism", rather than "Christianity".

Christian faith is centered on Jesus Christ and based on the Bible. Its core idea is the gospel, that is, the salvation of God Jesus Christ, which fully demonstrates God's selfless love for all mankind and the whole universe. God loves the world so much that he gives his only son (Jesus Christ) to them, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but will have eternal life.

Christianity, Buddhism and Islam are called three major religions. However, Christianity is the largest religion in the world in terms of scale and influence. Christianity has been playing an important and irreplaceable role in the history of human development. So far, most developed countries, except Japan, are dominated by Christian culture. Especially in Europe, America, Africa, Asia and Oceania, Christianity has shaped all aspects of human civilization in politics, economy, science, education, culture and art. In addition to South America, Africa, South Korea and other places in Asia, China is also one of the regions with the fastest growth in the number of Christians in the 20th century.  

Basic Christian beliefs

In the first century, Christianity was founded by Jesus of Nazareth in Israel, Palestine and Jordan. It inherited the Jewish Bible and many cultural traditions and believed that God created and dominated the world. It holds that human beings have been guilty of non-compliance with God's law since their forefathers, and have suffered death in sin. Only by believing in the trinity of God and relying on Jesus Christ can they be saved. The birth and sacrifice of Jesus marked the re establishment of a new covenant between God and human beings, bringing the gospel of God's salvation and the end of the Old Testament era. In the process of preaching, Jesus recruited 12 apostles to make atonement for the world with the sacrifice on the cross. Jesus resurrected three days after his death, ascended to heaven on the 40th day after his resurrection, and sent the Holy Spirit to come on the 50th day, opening up the glory and development that continues to this day.

The expression of Christian belief is based on the Bible as the core blueprint, and the belief documents formed by the apostles, churches, and Guilds of the past dynasties as the carrier, which is very rich in content. Among them, the Apostles' creed is recognized as the most admirable and reliable abstract by the churches and theologians of all ages. As the Christian (Protestant) version of the Apostles' Creed says:

"I believe in the almighty father of God, the creator of heaven and earth, and in my Lord Jesus Christ, the only son of God. Born of the Virgin Mary by the conception of the Holy Spirit, she suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, buried, and descended to the underworld. On the third day, she rose from the dead, ascended to heaven, and sat at the right hand of God the almighty father. From there she will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, I believe in the holy and great church, I believe in the communion of saints, I believe in the forgiveness of sin, I believe in the resurrection of the body, I believe in eternal life. Amen

Christ Jesus, the son, is the second in the Trinity. He was born for his father before all ages. "All things are created through him."

Is the Redeemer of all mankind. We are all accepted as children of God by grace because of him. The origin of Jesus Christ is from God, not man. He is the will of God to save the world. By the induction of the Holy Spirit, Mary, the virgin, took the body and became the world.

That is the so-called "incarnation of Tao". God is the highest and only true God in Christianity, the creator of all things in the universe, and dominates the world. There is only one God, but it contains the father, the son and the Holy Spirit. They are the only true God and have the same noumenon. The Holy Father is also called the heavenly Father God. He is the God of all knowledge, all power and all love, the God of freedom and eternity, and the God of avoiding evil.

Christianity believes in the only true God and opposes idolatry. The primary purpose of life is to know and glorify God.

The core belief of Christians is that God comes to the perceptual world of human beings in the body of Jesus, and Jesus' announcement about the nature of God and the possibility of human existence makes his historical life the standard people believe in. This is one of the core inspirations of Christianity. As a perfect God, God is also a perfect man. His life is a model of perfection. No sin, no transgression, because of the great love for the world, completely obedient to God's will, bear the unnecessary charges, suffered under the then ruler Pontius Pilate, was nailed to the cross, died, buried, and sent to the underworld.

Christianity believes that the cross shows God's great love and salvation.

Jesus rose from the dead on the third day of burial. It can be said that without the resurrection of Jesus Christ, there would be no Christianity. After 40 days of resurrection, Jesus appeared to the disciples and told about the kingdom of God. Later, he ascended to heaven and sat on the right side of the almighty father God.

Christians believe and look forward to the coming of Jesus, that is, the judgment of the end of the world and the coming of a new heaven and earth.

Christianity believes that God has been caring for and leading the process of human history. His judgment is always going on, only reaching its peak at the end of history. Christians should stick to God's law and will, fulfill the mission of spreading the gospel and governing the whole earth entrusted by God.

Christianity believes in the Holy Spirit. It believes that the Holy Spirit is the giver of life. It comes from the father and the son and is worshipped and honored with them.

Believe in the new life given by the Holy Spirit and be reborn. Rebirth is also reflected in the selection of the father, the redemption of the son, and the renewal of the Holy Spirit.

Christianity is not only concerned about the salvation of individuals, but also the development of groups. Christians can not establish a perfect relationship with God. Only in loving others as themselves can they fulfill the commandment of loving God.

The growth of Christians is inseparable from the church. The church is known as the common mother of all sincere people. It is holy and holy, just and universal. The church is not limited to one place, but all over the world. The church is united because of its faith in God and his truth.

Christians believe that they are all members of Christ, who pursue sanctification in Christ because of his blood and gospel. For the sake of Christ's salvation, God no longer remembers the sins of mankind, but mercifully shares the righteousness of Christ with mankind, so that mankind will never be convicted. Christians also believe that not only the soul will be brought to Christ immediately after death, but also our body will live through Christ's omnipotence, unite with the soul, and be similar to Christ's glorious body. Christians believe that the body of a person who is filled with the Holy Spirit is called the temple of the Holy Spirit and is no longer subject to the lusts of the body.

Christians believe that there is no death in Christ, only eternal happiness. Eternal life is to be chosen and kept by God forever in the Lord Jesus. It is the gift of God, the redemption of Jesus Christ through God's selection and predestination, and the new life from the Holy Spirit.

Christianity believes that when it believes all this, it justifies itself before God, in Christ, and bears eternal life.

But this is not because of one's own efforts, but because of God's free grace.

Christianity sums up the whole truth and core of its belief as love God (you should love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your nature, with all your heart and with all your strength)

Jesus

The most common name in the New Testament gospel is Christ Jesus or Jesus Christ.

According to the Gospels, Jesus is the son of God and the Redeemer of the Virgin Mary who was conceived by the Holy Spirit. In history, there is no detailed record of Jesus. Some people once doubted whether there was a person. Josephus, a Jewish historian in the first century, once called James the leader of the church in Jerusalem "the brother of Jesus, who is called Christ" in his Jewish history

. The chronicle of Tacitus, an ancient Roman historian, wrote: "Christ, who gave them the Christian title, was killed by the governor during Tiberius."

These data indirectly show that there was Jesus in history.

The life of Jesus is mainly recorded in the New Testament, especially in the four Gospels. According to the Gospels, Mary, the mother of Jesus, got pregnant from the Holy Spirit and learned that the son she was going to give birth to was Messiah, which is often expected.
