Chuanshipo Lake

Chuanshipo lake is located on the hillside of Yuelu Mountain. Its name comes from the scenic spot. Long ago, there was a famous chuanshipo scenic spot: a pavilion was built in the scenic spot, on which three characters of chuanshipo were written.

According to the sign of the scenic spot, chuanshipo is a natural landscape in the South Valley of Yuelu Mountain, where the forest is quiet and the boulders are across. The mountain stream flows from Yunlu peak to Fenglin Village at the foot of the mountain through chuanshipo. It is endless all year round, especially when the stream passes through the boulders.

It is said that in the Western Jin Dynasty, after shooting the boa demon, Tao Kan made an appointment to meet again 50 years later in accordance with Bai He's last wish. Tao Kan, an octogenarian, delayed his appointment because of his government affairs. Tao Kan waited for 981 days at the place where he met. He was sincere enough to see him. In order to prevent the rebirth of Miss Baihe, the Bodhisattva asked Tao Kan to leave the stone gate. Tao Kan was forced to go through the stone and turned around to see only a stone wall standing in front of him. So it is called chuanshipo.

Chuanshipo lake is built on the basis of the original scenic spots. You like to set up tents, make coffee and watch the stars.
