Tan Sitong Memorial
Tan Sitong memorial hall, also known as Tan Sitong martyr memorial hall, is located at 89 Caichang Road, Liuyang City. Tan Sitong's former residence is located at No. 90, Beizheng street, Liuyang City. Built in the late Ming Dynasty, Tan Sitong's father, Tan Jixun, was appointed governor of Hubei Province. His official rank was prominent, and he was named "Di official residence", or "dafudi" for short.
Personage introduction
Tan Sitong (1865-1898) is a native of Liuyang. He likes swordsmanship. He learned from Ouyang Zhonghu, read a lot, and was good at the study of Confucian classics. He also studied western natural and social science works. He praised Wei Yuan and Gong Zizhen. Travel Zhili, Shaanxi, Gansu, Shanxi, Shandong, Henan and other provinces, observe the local conditions, make friends with celebrities. Wang Fuzhi's theory of "Tao is inseparable from Qi" is brought into play, and "Qi is changed, Tao is stable and independent" is put forward to provide theoretical basis for the reform.
Tan Sitong's tomb is located at the foot of the stone hill of Xiaoshui village, Hehua sub district office, Liuyang City. The tomb is semicircular, with small round flat pebbles covering the top of the tomb, stone pillars standing on three sides and green stone slabs surrounding it. Before the worship platform, both sides of the expansion, shaped like eight characters. In front of the cemetery, there are stone horses, stone tigers and a pair of Huabiao. The couplet is engraved with the following words: "it's never worn in ancient times. The flakes of stone gather in heaven and earth, and the mountains run like waves.".

Tan Sitong Temple
Tan Sitong temple is a provincial cultural relic protection unit. It is the first batch of patriotic education base in Hunan Province. It is located at No.89 Caichang Road, Liuyang City. It was built in 1913 and faces south. It has two buildings and one pavilion with brick and wood structure. Now it has "exhibition of Tan Sitong's life story" and "Memorial Exhibition of the reform movement of 1898", as well as Kang Youwei's couplet (copy) and Liang Qichao's book Horizontal plaque: xianjue of the Republic of China (original).
Tomb of Tan Sitong
Tan Sitong's body was buried in zhaishui village, Niushi Township, Liuyang City in June 1900. The tomb was built with small round flat stones and surrounded by bluestone slabs. On the tombstone, the inscription "Tomb of Tan Gong Fu Jun, a constitutional official in the Qing Dynasty" was engraved. The tomb is now a cultural relic protection unit at the provincial level.
