History and culture

Grassland gate

The patron saint of the grassland at the foot of Dayang mountain! Dayang mountain is a picturesque mountain peak in Huangpi. At the foot of the mountain is a green grassland with long grass and clear water. It is called "Mulan Grassland". It is said that Mulan practiced martial arts here before joining the army. Every morning, she would lead her beloved white horse to the stream to drink water, and then she would practice martial arts and read books under the tree on Dayang mountain.

Hada

Hada is a kind of silk fabric used by Mongolian and Tibetan people as etiquette, which is essential in social activities. Hada is similar to the ancient Han ritual silk. The long silk scarves or gauze scarves used by Mongolians and Tibetans to show respect and congratulations are mostly white, blue and yellow. In addition, there are colorful hada, the colors are blue, white, yellow, green and red. Blue is blue sky, white is white cloud, green is river, red is space protector, yellow is earth. Multicolored hada is the most precious gift given to Bodhisattvas and close relatives. According to Buddhist doctrine, colorful hada is the clothing of Bodhisattvas. Therefore, colorful hada is only used in specific circumstances.

Prince grassland

It is said that this was the place where the prince proposed to the princess of Mulan grassland. The princes stood on the grassland and sang to the princess of Mulan grassland on the qin island of Princess lake. Local herdsmen also said that this was the place where general Mulan practiced martial arts and archery before he went to the army on behalf of his father. Later, general Mulan triumphed and spent his old age here with his comrades in arms.

Princess Lake

It is said that at the end of the third century, King tielimu came to the Taklimakan desert to look for water for the common people and found a bubbling deep river. King tielimu ordered more than a thousand people to dig for more than a hundred days, but no spring was found.

Princess dawakun was also very anxious. One night, without telling her father and husband, the princess dug sand and water herself. However, as soon as she moved a spade, the spring came out of the sand. The more she dug the spring, the more time she spent submerging this barren valley. The beautiful princess dawakun never came out of the vast water and turned into a beautiful lake. People named the lake "Princess Lake" in memory of the princess.

Archery Hall

Archery is the first activity used in military training by Mongolian people, and later turned into entertainment. It can be divided into static shooting and riding shooting. There are no restrictions on the style, weight, length and pulling force of bows and arrows. It is generally stipulated that each person shoots nine arrows in three rounds. The ranking is evaluated by the number of arrows hitting the target, and the winner is awarded. The race road is usually a ditch four meters wide, more than half a meter deep and eighty-five meters long. The first target is a one cubic foot colored cloth bag hung on a two meter high wooden frame; the second target is a one cubic foot white cloth bag; the third target is an equilateral three color white cloth bag filled with cotton. The first and second target positions are on the left side of the shooter, and the third target position is on the right side of the shooter. The distance between the target positions is about 25 meters, and the distance between the runway center line and the target position is 2 meters. Before the start of the game, the shooter wears a tight colored robe, carries a bow and arrow, and takes the horse to the starting line. When judge Dai starts to run, he draws a bow and takes an arrow to aim at the target. When he hits a ring on the target, the ring falls off automatically, and the audience cheers for the winner. This kind of competition activity, until the whole day, is still a favorite entertainment activity for herdsmen.
