This is the first time that Jia Yi's former residence was rebuilt in the form of integrating ancestral hall and residence. There is a grand view building behind the temple and a well in front of the temple. It is said that it was dug by Jia Yi, which is called Taifu well. Beside the well, there is a stone bed, which is the original of Jia Yi. There are two steles in front of the house, one on the left and one on the right, about Zhang high, and the handwriting is denuded and illegible. Another tangerine was planted by Jia Yi. All the above cultural relics were destroyed by the "Wenxi" fire in 1938. After that, there was only one Ya hall. On the main wall of the ancestral hall, there was a statue of Qu Yuan. The ancient well is still there, and the ancient stele is still there. The stone bed was stolen in 1958, and a small lane was built beside it, named taifuli.

Jia Yi
Jia Yi (also known as Changsha Fu) was born in Luoyang. At the age of 18, he was able to recite poems and articles and was proficient in Confucian classics. At the age of 22, he was a doctor. In the same year, he was promoted to Taizhong doctor. Among his colleagues, he was the best. He wrote the treatise on Guo Qin and the treatise on Ji Ji Shu, and put forward a series of practical strategies for the reform of national politics, which was highly appreciated by Emperor Wen of Han Dynasty. He wanted Jia to be a high-ranking official several times, but he was changed to be Wang Taifu of Changsha because of the power officials' intolerance. Taifu was one of the two important senior officials of Changsha state at that time. The other was the prime minister. Hou Licang, the owner of Mawangdui tomb No.2, had been in this position for many years. Jia Yi has close political cooperation with Hou family.
In Changsha, Jia Yi wrote "Ode to Qu Yuan" and "Ode to birds", which established his important position in the history of Chinese literature. Therefore, he was later called "Jia Changsha". His former residence is known as the most ancient historic site in Changsha and the source of Huxiang culture. After that, Jia Yi became Emperor Wen's son Liang huaiwang's Taifu and wrote the policy of public order. His governing method was regarded as a classic by the feudal emperors for more than 2000 years. His plan of cutting the vassal power was adopted by Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty, which completely relieved the threat of the separatist regime of the feudal princes. His thoughts of national defense, people-oriented, agriculture oriented and education are still sparking in modern times.
