General situation
The main buildings in the garden are: Zhaobi, stone tablet of "huihuiyuanji"
Rockery, lotus pool, Haitian tower, Yide corridor, Qingyun corridor, yuanzhongyuan, Sanyou Pavilion, etc. Huicui garden is a typical garden style in the south of the Yangtze River. As soon as you enter the garden, you will see Zhaobi. On the wall are the three characters "huihuiyuan" inscribed by Chen Tongzhou.
There are two cascades on the rockery built with 120 tons of Taihu stone. On the cliff of the second peak, there are four characters "Sheng, mu, Qi, Shi". This is a book written by Hai Rui when he congratulated his mother's birthday. It is from Hai Rui temple in Chun'an, Zhejiang Province. There is a Maitreya Buddha in the north of the peak, which imitates the stone carving of Hangzhou Lingyin Feilai peak. One stone in front of the Buddha is like a frog, the other is like a stubborn monkey, and the stone beside the Buddha is engraved with the four characters "a pillar of heaven and sea".
There are pavilions and corridors in the south of the garden, Meishan and Sanyou pavilions in the northwest of the garden, and pine, bamboo, plum and Sanyou are widely planted on the mountain. Li Pavilion is built on the island in the lotus pond, and sanquping bridge is built in the north of the pond. The plants in and around the pond are arranged in spring, summer and autumn. There is a large platform on the north side of the lotus pond, facing the water on three sides, with stone railings and stone benches on the platform. Haitianlou, with its cornices and corners, is a good place for tea tasting. It's very pleasant for the leisure residents to enjoy the scenery while drinking tea.
The garden in the garden is an independent small courtyard with a very quiet environment. In the garden, there is a Qingxin library. In front of the library, there is a 3.2-meter-high Taihu Lake stone, which looks like magnolia, the flower of Shanghai, so it is called "Magnolia peak". Yulan peak is surrounded by dense shade and covered with green bamboos on Meishan mountain. There are many high-quality bamboos planted in Cuizhu District, such as corundum, Phoenix Tail Bamboo, Indocalamus, turtle shell bamboo, Phyllostachys pubescens, Jasper bamboo, purple bamboo, mottled bamboo, etc., which can not only be used for visitors to watch, but also as a teaching place for dendrology bamboo.
The walls of Yide corridor are inlaid with 65 ceramic tile murals, including anecdotes of Chinese historical figures and teenagers, Chinese scenic spots and modern Calligraphers' ink. Huicui garden is not large in scope, but it is very elegant. There are many plaques, couplets and carvings in the garden. After counting, there are 9 plaques, 11 couplets and 8 stone carvings. In addition, there are four calligraphies and seven traditional Chinese paintings by Wu Changshuo, Kong Lingming, Xie zhiliu and Su Juxian.
