Baoshan Township
Baoshan Township is under the jurisdiction of Gannan county. Located in the north of the county, the northwest is adjacent to Arong Banner of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region by "jinjiehao". The township government is 48 kilometers away from the county seat.
Historical evolution
Baoshan Township, formerly known as "Er Bao", also known as "Mencius Heng Jie Ji". At the end of the Qing Dynasty, it was under the jurisdiction of Ganjingzi Administrative Bureau.
After the founding of the Republic of China, it was put under the jurisdiction of Longjiang County in 1914.
In 1916, it was under the jurisdiction of the Buxi Governing Council,
In 1921, it was transferred to the second insurance of the Georgia Bureau, hence the name "second insurance".
In 1926, it was transferred to Gannan to set up the governing Bureau,
In 1928, it belonged to the second district.
In 1929, at the request of the local squire Mencius Hengshang, the street base was officially assigned. Because of the mountains in the territory, it was named "Baoshan". However, because of the new name, people still used to call it "Mencius Hengjie base". After the fall of Northeast China, it was the Second District of Gannan county at first, and then it was changed to the second protection,
Baoshan Village was established in 1938.
After the victory of the Anti Japanese war in 1945, Baoshan District was designated in March 1946.
In March 1948, Taiping mountain area was set up in the eastern part of the country. Later, Baoshan District was changed into the third district.
In March 1956, the township was divided into three townships: Yongfa, Kaoshan and Quanyan. In December of the same year, Yongfa township was changed into Baoshan Township.
In April 1958, Baoshan Township was merged into Taishan Township. In September of the same year, Baoshan, Quanyan and Taipingshan were merged into Baoshan people's commune.
In May 1960, changjigang commune was abolished and merged into Baoshan commune;
In May 1961, the establishment of changjigang commune was restored. In April 1984, the government and society were separated and Baoshan commune was changed into Baoshan Township.

Economy of Baoshan Township
Baoshan area was developed earlier and is one of the small towns known as "Sanyang Yibao" in the county. The territory of fertile soil, built friendship, Quansheng two small reservoirs. The total area of the township is 629.2 square kilometers, including 187000 mu of cultivated land and 161000 mu of grassland and barren mountains. The main crops are corn, soybean, millet, sunflower and so on.
