The APEC meeting boat, also known as zhouzhuangfang, was built for the 2001 APEC informal meeting of trade ministers. Construction started on November 15, 2000 and completed on May 20, 2001. Zhouzhuangfang is a piece of Jasper inlaid in the ancient town of white clam lake. It is a window for Zhouzhuang to show its style to the world. The boat is 49.71 meters long, 15.68 meters wide, 1.48 meters deep, with a total displacement of 850 tons

Introduction to scenic spots

The white clam Lake in the north of Zhouzhuang Town has clear water, rippling microwaves, weeping willows and elegant pavilions. Along the cobblestone path, through a door called "cloud Pavilion", we set foot on a 13 meter long wooden trestle. The other end of the trestle is connected with Zhouzhuang boat. Stepping on zhouzhuangfang from the trestle is its bow. Looking up, the plaque of "zhouzhuangfang" is made by Kunshan calligrapher Lu Jiaheng, which is meaningful and elegant. Looking down, you can see a group of exquisite and elegant calligraphy and woodcut works. The main body of zhouzhuangfang is pushed through the long window in the middle. There is a 240 square meter conference hall and a 180 square meter hand woven carpet in the middle. There are 26 high-grade rattan chairs all around, with soft sponge cushions on the seat and back. There are imitation Ming style tea tables between rattan chairs and imported microphones on each table. The top of the conference hall is a wooden beam and net brick structure, from the middle to both sides, from high to low, forming a beautiful arc. On both sides of the conference hall are long windows on the ground. Outside the windows are one meter wide ship side corridors. Through the hall came the back half of the boat. The men's and women's toilets here are just like the facilities of a five-star hotel. It's amazing how the classical outside and the modern inside can be combined so perfectly. Along the railings of the scarlet wooden stairs, you come to the upper floor of the Zhouzhuang boat. There is a 50 square meter cafe with a strong modern flavor. There is also an open-air bar outside the hall, with cast iron chairs scattered among them and wooden railings on both sides. Overlooking from the fence, the lake is dreamy, with a few fishing boats looming.
