Qinghe Road branch was founded in 1980 and opened in 1981. Now it is the branch of Shanghai Central Library. It has won many honorary titles such as national civilization library and national second-class library. In December 2004, the first large-scale reconstruction of the district library since its opening, with a total investment of more than 3 million yuan, lasted nearly half a year. The reconstructed Library in Jiading District covers an area of 4183 square meters. history

Jiading library was founded on July 10, 1958. The site of the library is Confucius Temple and Chongsheng temple, with a collection of more than 60000 books and 4 staff. Before the construction of the library, the book business was undertaken by the county cultural center.

In October 1962, the county's three cultural, library and Museum museums were moved to the Confucius Temple, collectively known as the Jiading County's three cultural museums, with four groups of literature and art, books, cultural relics and logistics. During the "Cultural Revolution", the county library was renamed the book group of the third County Cultural library. In August 1978, the county library resumed its separate system and temporarily opened at 323 Tacheng road. In November 1981, the new museum was completed and put into use. The building area is 3752 square meters, of which 960 square meters can hold 350000 books. In April 1986, he founded the journals of "newspaper and periodical", "industrial information" and "agricultural and sideline information". In April of the next year, our library introduced the information dissemination work at the meeting of national public library information service for spark program held by the Ministry of culture and the State Science and Technology Commission. In December 1988, Jiading Library Society was established. In May 1989, the Ministry of culture awarded the title of "national civilized library". In October of this year, the first local literature exhibition was held, which caused a sensation. In November, it took the lead in carrying out full open shelf book borrowing. In April 1993, Jiading District Library was renamed as Jiading District Library. In 1994, it was rated as the second level library in the national public library evaluation. In 2002, the computer management was initially realized, and the library's publications were computerized. There are nearly 40 employees and 360000 books.

Jiading District Children's library opened on February 9, 1983. It is attached to the county library. It has a set of two brands and a collection of more than 4000 books. In May 1997, it moved into a new library with a construction area of 400 square meters and a collection of 20000 books.

Anting town library has two libraries, one is Anting Town Library, the other is Huangdu branch library.

Anting town library is located at 149 Moyu Road, Anting Town, Jiading District, Shanghai. It covers an area of 5 mu, with a construction area of 1900 square meters. With beautiful environment and complete facilities, Anting town library is a good place for the majority of residents to study and read, and an important window for the transmission of spiritual civilization.
