Ruiyun temple, formerly known as Dengyun temple, huangzang temple and Huangsang temple, is also known as "xiaobaohua mountain". It is one of the eight sceneries of Xiaocheng and is located in huangzang Valley, Xiaoxian County, Anhui Province. It was first built in the Liang Dynasty (535-546), about 1480 years ago.
Ruiyun temple covers an area of more than 20000 square meters and is located on the stone platform in the middle of huangcangyu. Take the Sutra house, Zhaitang, Daxiong hall and Abbot's room as the axis. It is surrounded by mountains and streams and connected by stone steps. There are 99 temples with more than 4000 volumes of Scripture, law and theory.
In 1998, Ruiyun temple was identified as a key Buddhist temple by Anhui provincial government. In 2006, it was listed as a municipal cultural relics protection unit.
Ruiyun Temple
At 7:30 a.m. on December 8, 2013, hundreds of people with various tools rushed into Ruiyun temple in Jin'an District of Fuzhou City, destroying the monks and destroying the Buddha violently. The old master of the temple fell ill.
On the afternoon of December 9, the village committee cadres of Xiangyuan, where Ruiyun temple is located, came to drive away the old mage who held fast to the ruins and ordered him to return to the secular life in front of the old mage's laity. Under the old mage's insistence, the village cadres forced him to sign a "life and death agreement" - if you don't live in the temple, you should bear all the consequences. If you get sick, you can cure yourself, and if you die, you can carry yourself.
On the morning of December 11, a large number of unidentified people in security clothes broke in again, kidnapped the two old mages and forcibly carried them out of the temple.
On December 13, the old mage was put under house arrest in the new temple. There is a guard in front of the door, not to let in or out, not to let in the visiting mage and the hermit. Master mingcan said: This is "living hell".
geographical position
Ruiyun temple in Xiangyuan, located in Xiangyuan village, Jin'an District, Fuzhou City, was founded in 1896. It is famous for offering the true body of Ke Yunchen, a local man who has acquired the virtue of human body, later known as "Ke wenfo". The temple is a legally open religious place with complete procedures. The temple covers an area of more than 560 square meters, building area of more than 870 square meters, a total of 24 rooms. There are two old bhiksunis in the temple. One is master Mingshen, the 70 year old abbot, and the other is over 80 years old. The two old mages chanted Buddhism and meditated daily, and at the same time provided religious services for the believers around them. In 2010, the tranquility of Ruiyun temple was broken by the roar of the reconstruction of the old city. Since then, the two old people began to live a life of "relocated households" in fear and fear.
Renovation of old houses
During the three-year reconstruction and demolition of urban dilapidated houses, the monks of Ruiyun Temple helplessly watch the ashram in the rubble. They expect to be protected by law, free from humiliation and coercion, and move legally. In July 2013, legal experts from Phoenix Buddhism and Peking University made a special trip to Fuzhou to investigate the incident of Ruiyun temple, and formed the "investigation on the reconstruction of the old city and the breakthrough of ancient temples in the demolition of Ruiyun temple in Fuzhou". The reason why this article was not published was that at the joint meeting of the Religious Bureau of Jin'an District, the district Party committee and government, the district publicity department and the representatives of the demolition Committee, these departments were not able to participate in the investigation Door made a "further understanding of the situation, will continue to communicate and negotiate, strive to sign an agreement as soon as possible, harmonious relocation" commitment.
However, in December 2013, dozens of people from unknown origins surrounded Ruiyun temple, and the "forced demolition" will be staged in religious sites. A religious activity site protected by the national law, without signing any demolition agreement, or even explicitly informing the permanent residence of the temple, was suddenly forced to move. The abbot of the temple was replaced by a so-called villagers' Management Committee, and had to admire the good intentions of the relevant departments.
Then, which "relevant department" should the so-called "government" be materialized? Who is the behind the scenes director of this demolition drama?
On December 6, the author accompanied master Shi Mingshen to the religious Department of Fujian Province to reflect the situation. After carefully listening to the facts, the relevant leaders of the Provincial Department said: "it seems that the following municipal and district religious bureaus said that it was the master's fault, which is not entirely true." In order to solve the problem, the relevant provincial leaders informed Chen Guisong, director of the Religion Bureau of Jin'an District, to visit the site of Ruiyun temple on the afternoon of the same day, and organized the author and his party to sit down with Director Chen Guisong and explain the situation face to face.
Status quo of temples
In the process of explanation, Chen Guisong, director of the Religious Affairs Bureau of the District, finally came up with the so-called "demolition agreement" under pressure. It's not that there is no agreement drawn up or signed, but that there is a signed agreement in white, black and red! The signing date of the agreement is October 25, 2013, and the two parties to the agreement are "demolition office and district Buddhist Association".
