Red brick art museum is located in No.1 International Art District in the northeast of Chaoyang District, Beijing. The park covers an area of about 20000 square meters, and the exhibition hall covers an area of nearly 10000 square meters. It was founded by collectors Yan Shijie and Cao Mei and officially opened on May 23, 2014. Dong Yugan, a professor from the architectural research center of Peking University, is responsible for the architectural and landscape design of the art museum. He uses red bricks as the basic architectural elements, and strives to ensure the integrity of each brick in the process of construction and masonry, so as to form a unique architectural language and create a contemporary art museum that grows out of the noise and has a different garden.
The main building of red brick art museum is divided into two floors above ground and one floor underground, including nine exhibition spaces, two public leisure spaces and one art derivative space. As the biggest difference between the red brick art museum and other art museums in terms of architectural composition, a modern garden meticulously built with traditional Chinese garden image constitutes a double extension of visiting experience and architectural structure, and the supporting facilities such as academic lecture hall, restaurant, coffee shop and member club of the art museum are also scattered here.
Red brick art gallery
Red brick art museum is located in the International Art Zone of No.1 Hegezhuang in the northeast of Beijing. It was founded by Yan Shijie, an entrepreneur and collector, and Cao Mei. Architectural design
Dong Yugan, a famous architect and professor of Architecture Research Center of Peking University, is responsible for the architectural design of the art museum. Combining with the surrounding land and growing in the original environment, the red brick is used as the basic element, supplemented by the use of some green bricks on the building, creating a garden style art museum with contemporary landscape courtyard, which has become a red brick art museum in many art museums The most outstanding feature of architecture. Here, the audience can get a new aesthetic experience. They can not only watch the indoor works on display, but also swim in various outdoor landscapes. The unique architectural language and innovative landscape provide a variety of possibilities different from traditional art museums for the occurrence, collision and presentation of contemporary art and culture.
The building is transformed from the original big white house, which is simple and huge. The six meter square openings on the street wall erode the internal walls. The strip skylight running through the north and South on the top of the simple steel frame shed is full of light, but the direct sunlight and projection are the most critical problems. After the transformation, the function is the art museum, the courtyard part covers catering, office, and the northern garden provides recreation. As a criticism of the separation of Western architecture and landscape, the architecture and garden design of the red brick art museum is divided into three parts: on the one hand, the original simple space of the greenhouse is transformed into the exhibition space of the art museum with dense images based on the ingenuity of Bai Juyi's "Da Qiao Ruo Zhuo Fu"; on the other hand, in order to change the boredom of the contemporary landscape pattern design, the design of the red brick art museum Based on the experience of thousands of years of urban mountain forest in Chinese gardens, this paper attempts to manage a feasible dense image that can be lived and traveled; as the transition between the closed Art Museum and the northern mountain forest, the design of the courtyard part, as an extension of the previous design of Qingshui guild hall, tries to express the life scene more accurately, and use this courtyard part to connect the northern garden and the southern garden The architectural part of the Ministry.
