No.1 Bridge from dongsigou to International Conference Center (Jinshitan bridge) is a half through steel pipe arch bridge, with a total length of 164.6 meters, a main span of 120 meters, a width of 12 meters for four rows of lanes, and a width of 3 meters for sidewalks on both sides. The bridge spans 43.5 meters of coastal gorge. Cable crane cable-stayed fastening method is adopted for construction.

At about 11:00 a.m. on September 5, 2001, at the construction site of No. 13 bridge of Dalian Jinshitan rapid rail transit project, the huge bridge erecting machine grabbed the last piece of prestressed beam and placed it on the abutment steadily. So far, the bridge construction of the fast track project is all over. This also marks the completion of the 46.658 km Dalian Jinshitan rapid rail transit project.

The rapid rail transit project from Dalian to Jinshitan is designed according to the requirements of urban rapid rail transit with reference to metro construction specifications. There are 20 large and small bridges in the whole line, of which No. 13 bridge with a length of 550 meters is the only one across the sea. It is directly affected by the tide of the sea. The geological conditions are quite complex. The karst caves overlap as many as 6 layers vertically, and the underground gullies develop strangely. More than 600 builders of the Fourth Engineering Office of China Railway Group Corporation, who undertook the construction task of the project, overcame dozens of landslides and completed the construction of the main project of the bridge after 230 days of hard work. Sun Jichun, director of the Municipal Transportation Bureau and deputy commander in chief of the fast rail project, told reporters that with the end of the bridge construction of the whole line, the next step of the fast rail project will be the power supply catenary, pile laying, track laying and station engineering. At present, 5 of the 10 stations in the whole line have started the foundation construction, and the bidding work of the other 5 stations is in intense progress. According to the construction period, it will be put into trial operation by the end of next year.
