Yudaiqiao Mosque

Yudaiqiao mosque has gradually become the second largest mosque after the famous Dongguan mosque, and has become a new tourist attraction. Yudaiqiao Mosque

Yudaiqiao mosque is one of the ancient Muslim temples in Xining. It was first built in Xining during the Hongwu year of Ming Dynasty. The total area of yudaiqiao mosque is more than 400 square meters, and the overall building is of typical Islamic style. The newly built Yudai hall in the temple is designed in the style of Sino Arab fusion building. The two-story hall is spacious, bright and magnificent.

Historical evolution

Yudaiqiao mosque was first built in Hongwu Period of Ming Dynasty (about 1530 A.D.), and it was rebuilt about 100 square meters in 1933 (22 years of the Republic of China). In 1980, it was rebuilt by religious people, with a construction area of 400 square meters. In 2006, the third large-scale reconstruction of yudaiqiao mosque, with a total area of 3150 square meters

Scale system

Yudaiqiao mosque is located in Dazhong street, East District of Xining City (north of the original Wayaogou). It is adjacent to the yudaiqiao in Wayaogou, so it gets its name. The position of the main hall is somewhat inclined, but it does not affect its function. On the days of Eid al Fitr or worship, many Muslims will come to worship, which is no less than the second Mosque of Dongguan temple in Xining

Architectural features

The main hall of worship in the center is the largest building in the whole temple. The layman's single wing, brick and wood structure, with the architectural style of ancient palace in China, covers an area of 1102 square meters, and can accommodate 3000 people for worship. The ridge of the top of the hall is equipped with a Tibetan gilt vase, which is donated by lamas of Labrang temple in Gansu Province and only seen in mosques in China. The 18 pillars in the hall are donated by Youning temple
