Historical evolution

Dehua porcelain is the bright pearl of China. Chairman Li Peng once personally inscribed "Dehua famous porcelain, the Pearl of China" and highly praised Dehua's prominent position in the history of Chinese ceramics. Since the reform and opening up, the ancient porcelain city has shown its brilliance again and has been named "the hometown of Chinese ceramics". Dehua porcelain has a long history and is well-known at home and abroad, which has a profound impact on the development of ceramic industry at home and abroad. As early as the Neolithic age, there was ceramic production in Dehua. In the late Tang and Five Dynasties, ceramic monographs appeared. In the song and Yuan Dynasties, the blue glaze, blue white glaze, black glaze and white glaze porcelain of Dehua kilns sold well overseas. In the Ming Dynasty, the unique ivory white porcelain enjoyed the high reputation of "China White" and "the Pearl of international porcelain circle". The porcelain carving art represented by he Chaozong reached the peak of ancient technology and set an example for later generations. In the Qing Dynasty, Dehua blue and white porcelain was very popular at home and abroad. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, Dehua porcelain garden has entered the spring of blooming flowers. It inherits the traditional crafts and develops modern science and technology. There are 2867 ancient and modern porcelains on display in the museum. Since its completion and opening to the outside world in August 1993, the Ceramic Museum has received a large number of domestic and foreign experts and scholars, people from all walks of life and primary and secondary school students. Now it keeps in touch with museums in more than 30 countries, and has made due contributions to the promotion of Dehua and its famous porcelain to the world.

architectural composition

The museum is located in tangzhaishan Forest Park, adjacent to the Ceramic Institute. Covering an area of 82 mu, the building has a construction area of 5700m2. It is a two-story antique building with frame structure. It has six exhibition halls, academic lecture hall, pottery bar, reference room, warehouse, monitoring room, etc. The construction of the building started in October 2003 with an investment of more than 15 million yuan. It was completed and opened to the public in October 2006. The museum has a collection of more than 5000 pieces. The hall on the first floor is inlaid with a 13 meter long, 2.6 meter wide high relief mural made of 520 pieces of Dehua white porcelain. The three exhibition halls on the first floor of the museum have a fixed display of Dehua Ceramic history. The display takes historical development as the main line, and systematically shows the development and great achievements of ancient and modern porcelain in Dehua County. It is divided into "suitable for water and soil porcelain, Millennium kiln smoke", "song and Yuan porcelain, emerging", "white porcelain in Ming Dynasty, unique", "blue and white porcelain in Qing Dynasty, poetic and picturesque", "Haisi porcelain road", "blue and white porcelain in Qing Dynasty, poetic and picturesque" The exhibition is divided into seven units, namely "famous in yunei", "porcelain of the Republic of China, inheriting tradition", "Pearl of porcelain country, blooming flowers", etc. the exhibition fully shows the artistic characteristics of Dehua Ceramic production technology, trade status and humanistic connotation, expounds the historical status and role of Dehua kiln, and reflects the industrious wisdom and pioneering and innovative spirit of the people in the porcelain capital.

In the first exhibition hall, there are pictures of the development of Dehua Ceramic production area and inscriptions about Dehua, the capital of porcelain; in the second exhibition hall, there are physical works of various periods after liberation; in the third exhibition hall, there are works of contemporary famous teachers; in the fourth exhibition hall, there are ancient porcelain specimens unearthed and collected from Dehua, as well as pictures of ancient porcelain at home and abroad.

1、 Visitors are free to visit after registration with valid certificates;

2、 Group visit needs to explain the service and make an appointment one day in advance;

3、 Children's visit should be led by adults or organized by school groups;

4、 During the visit, please consciously maintain order. No loud noise, smoking, spitting or littering is allowed. Violators will be fined 10 yuan;

5、 When visiting, do not bring bags into the exhibition hall, do not touch the cultural relics and public property in the exhibition hall, and the damage should be compensated according to the price;

6、 The visiting time is according to the government's working hours (open throughout the year). Stop visiting the museum half an hour before work, and organize the cleaning
