Historical evolution

On March 23, 2004, the general office of the Ministry of Education officially approved the preparation for the establishment of Ningbo University of Nottingham. It officially opened on September 17, 2004.

On May 20, 2005, the Ministry of Education officially approved the establishment of Ningbo University of Nottingham.

In February 2006, the University of Nottingham in Ningbo held the inauguration ceremony.

In the autumn of 2006, the first batch of students from the University of Nottingham in Ningbo went abroad for exchange. Ningbo University of Nottingham has a four-year undergraduate course. In the first year, it mainly studies academic English (EAP) and introductory courses through small classes.
