Laiyuan Temple
Laiyuan Temple belongs to Zhigong Gaju sect. It was once known as danruojelin temple. Traditionally, three Rinpoche preached Buddhism here. In the heyday, there were more than 300 monks. Laiyuan temple is located in the hinterland of Weixi County. Qizong village, Tacheng Township, Weixi County, is a village inhabited by Tibetans. Its environment can be described as beautiful mountains and rivers. The rural cottage is close to the mountain and river, and is hidden in the shade of all kinds of fruit trees. The mountain about 6 kilometers east of the village is called ahailuo mountain. The mountain is lush with trees. There are huge cliffs on the top of the mountain. The Dharma patriarch cave is located on the cliffs. The center of the cave is the Bodhidharma patriarch cave and the Sutra hall outside the cave. The Laiyuan temple and the Bodhidharma temple at the foot of the mountain are just around it, forming a situation of tripartite confrontation and leaning against each other.

Laiyuan temple is located in Weixi County.
Located in the hinterland of the world natural heritage "Three Parallel Rivers", it is located in the northwest corner of Yunnan Province and the southwest end of Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. It faces Shangri La County across the river in the East and Yulong County of Lijiang City in the southeast. Laiyuan temple is located in weisita town. It is a multi-ethnic town. There are eight ethnic groups, including Tibetan, Lisu, Naxi (including Malimasa people belonging to Naxi branch), Yi, Pumi, Bai, Hui and Han. Among them, Tibetan accounts for 35%. Various religions coexist. There is one Christian Church and three Tibetan Buddhist temples (gamagajuda) Mosi, Zhigong Gaju Laiyuan temple, gelupai kegong'an Qu), the broad masses are deeply influenced by Tibetan Buddhism. One of the characteristics of the town is that there are many monks and religious people. Nearly half of the 16000 people in the town are religious people, reaching more than 7000.

At the end of Ming Dynasty and the beginning of Qing Dynasty, the local monks and folk took advantage of the situation at the front wall of the ancestral master, chiseled stones and wood, built temples on it, and gradually formed a total of more than 40 Sutra halls and Zen houses. In the Qing Dynasty, Damo temple was built in the south of zushi cave, and Laiyuan temple was built in the north. So far, zushidong, Damo temple and Laiyuan temple have become famous Buddhist holy places.
In August 1984, the reconstruction of Laiyuan temple on the left side of zushi cave was completed, and the incense of Dharma zushi cave also flourished.
