The total length of Zaoer lane is 227.3 meters, and the lane is in "s" shape. There are mainly shops, workshops, hotels, banks, government offices, dwellings and so on in this lane. The architectural style also includes Gannan Hakka architecture, Ganzhong courtyard architecture, Huizhou architecture and Western architecture, reflecting the diversity of urban architecture. This is a typical ancient city street, where the bricks and tiles of the Ming and Song dynasties have been stacked up for a long time. The cornices, lintels and carved windows reflect the glorious dreams of the past. The cobblestone alleys and roads pass through the patterns of "Mingqian", which seems to hold back the time in an era of wooden clogs kicking. As soon as the old people approach, they will feel cordial and nostalgic.
Compared with the traditional Hui style architecture, the Hui Style Architecture in Zaoer lane is more combined with the characteristics of Hakka architecture in southern Jiangxi.
Zaoerxiang historical district retains the complete style of Hakka houses after Qing Dynasty. There are ancient Hakka buildings such as academies, hotels, shops, workshops, inns, temples and banks. Changes of Zaoer Lane
The kitchen Lane we see today has been renovated with special funds allocated by governments at all levels. The main purpose is to bury all the wires, telephone lines, closed-circuit television lines, water pipes, gas pipes, etc. underground and remove some space barriers. The road surface is in accordance with the cobblestone road surface of Ganzhou traditional historical block, and the wall surface is restored to the blue brick beacon fire horse head wall. There are also some residents living on both sides.
Dong Fu used to be a bank, which is a typical building with courtyard style layout. A few years ago, when the building was about to collapse, a Dong resident bought it and restored it according to its original appearance. Now it has been used as a restaurant for Gannan cuisine.
In ancient times, yixingtang was a shop selling tobacco leaves and cut tobacco. This building used to be a chamber of Commerce. Because the ancient buildings in Ganzhou City were wooden buildings, fires often happened. In order to protect their shops from fire damage, businessmen set up a civil security Water Affairs Bureau, which is equivalent to a modern volunteer fire brigade. This plaque has been preserved here. The gate building has been renovated and now Ganzhou Federation of industry and commerce is working here. This "Tongji Village" operates "global foreign goods" (department stores), "LTL wholesale".
Junyang Hotel, located in Zaoer lane, is a classic Hakka residence. The hotel is a brick and wood structure building with three entrances and two patios. There are courtyard walls in front and back to form a complete courtyard. The exterior facade is sealed with fire walls, and the interior is separated by wooden fans to form a space. The lintels of 18 guest rooms in the hotel are engraved with auspicious characters such as Fu, Shou, Lu, etc. as room numbers, reflecting the strong Hakka family affection.
Junyang hotel was a guild hall in ancient times. The guild hall is a place where outsiders go to do business in a certain city. Because of the large number of people, it is also a place for public gathering. Ganzhou had many Guildhall in ancient times, such as Guangdong Guildhall, Fujian Guildhall, Nanning Guildhall and so on. There is a ballad about the guild hall: "Nanning guild hall is a flower, Guangdong guild hall is better than it, Anhui guild hall is flat, Fujian guild hall is bean curd.". Junyang guild hall is one of the oldest preserved guild halls. It was built in the 19th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty. It was the place where Gao'an people of Jiangxi province gathered when they were doing business in Ganzhou. At that time, Gao An was also called junyang. Gao'an people are very open. At that time, the hotel not only entertained Gao'an people, but also rented them out.
