Puzhu Temple

Puzhu temple is located in Fuqi village, Houyu Township, Changle City. It was originally built in the Wanli period of Ming Dynasty and has a history of more than 800 years. Close to the Langqi bridge, you can see the steles and archways of Puzhu temple. Although the facade is ordinary, the inner scenery is very beautiful. The area of Puzhu temple is very large, and the whole back mountain is its scenic spot.

Walking into the gate of Puzhu temple, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery in the mountains and listen to the murmur of the stream. It's calming. The back mountain is known as "500 Arhats". A winding stone road leads to the top of the mountain, along which hundreds of Arhats are worshipped. The layout of the stone statues shows originality. Depending on the height and smoothness of the mountain, the size and flow direction of the spring, the area of the open space and other conditions, the natural landscape and the artificial landscape are harmonious and unified.

Puzhu Temple

Puzhu temple, also known as Baofu temple, is located in Fuqi village, Houyu Township, Changle District, Fuzhou City, Fujian Province. It covers an area of about 9000 square meters and a construction area of 4200 square meters. According to the "eight min Tongzhi" temple volume: "Baofu Temple song Jiading Zhongjian." Today, there are still inscriptions in the temple, which say: "Fa Chao, a monk of Baofu temple, paid for his martial uncle's wish to erect the temple, and paved the Jiatai Xinyou Summer Theme." According to Jiatai Xinyou of Song Dynasty, the first year of Jiatai (1201), the above-mentioned records are consistent with the remaining inscriptions to prove that baofuyuan (Temple) has a history of more than 800 years, which is as long as the famous Yunmen temple on Yangyu in Minjiang Estuary

The area of Puzhu temple is very large, and the whole back mountain is its scenic spot (known as having 500 Arhats statues). Today, because of the time, it has not gone far. It's not far from the downtown of Fuzhou. Administratively, it belongs to Houyu Township, Changle District, Fuzhou. The location is close to Langqi bridge, which is the scenic spot of Fuqi village. You can also see the door faces of Puzhu temple and Baofu temple. Next to the temple is Houyu forest park. I think the forest park is connected with the back mountain of Puzhu temple. Puzhu temple is not only a pilgrimage area for coastal people to pray for peace, but also a tourist and summer resort.
