Nanjing Youth Olympic Sports Park

Nanjing Youth Olympic Center is located in the north of Jiangshan street, Jianye District, Nanjing City, the south of Jinshajiang East Road, the southeast of Yangzijiang Avenue, and the west of the South extension of Yanshan Road. The total construction area of Nanjing Youth Olympic Center is about 490000 square meters, and the total investment is about 4 billion yuan.

The total construction area above ground is 367000 square meters, the total underground construction area is 114000 square meters, and the greening area is 30000 square meters. After the completion of the Nanjing Youth Olympic Center, it will be used for the conference center and reception hotel of the Nanjing Youth Olympic Games. According to different functions, the area can be divided into conference center, high star hotel and commercial office buildings: the six floor conference center has a building area of about 8 square meters, including 7700 square meters of special conference room, 6000 square meters of multi-functional area, 14000 square meters of general conference area, 20000 square meters of pre conference service area and 33000 square meters of supporting service area. The above ground floor area of high star hotel and commercial office building is about 160000 square meters. The hotel is equipped with Chinese and Western restaurants and 1000 bed hotel rooms. Youth Olympic Youth Net was born in Nanjing Youth Olympic Center.

Nanjing Youth Olympic Sports Park

Nanjing Youth Olympic Sports Park is located in Pukou District of Nanjing city. It is the only newly built stadium for Nanjing Youth Olympic Games, with a total land area of about 1.01 million square meters. The gymnasium has 21000 seats and is qualified to hold NBA basketball games. It is the largest gymnasium in Asia.

Nanjing Youth Olympic Sports Park is the first sports building in China to be constructed under the guidance of BIM, including the Youth Olympic Stadium, large venues, housing construction, roads and bridges, landscape greening and other ancillary projects, including the competition (and training) venues for rugby, hockey, beach volleyball and wheelbarrow of the youth Olympic Games.

Construction scale

Nanjing Youth Olympic Sports Park is located in Pukou District of Nanjing city. The gymnasium can accommodate 20000 people to watch the games at the same time. It is the largest gymnasium in Asia. As a new stadium, the hardware facilities of the stadium even meet the requirements of hosting NBA games.

Nanjing Youth Olympic Sports Park is composed of one stadium and one hall, which looks like a giant "river gull". The outdoor stadium has a building area of 32000 square meters and can accommodate 20000 spectators; the indoor stadium has a building area of 123000 square meters and 21000 seats. It is the largest indoor stadium in China and has the qualification to hold NBA basketball games. It will undertake part of the events as a sub venue of "men's Basketball World Cup in 2019".

The total steel consumption of Nanjing Youth Olympic Sports Park is more than 15000 tons. Because the sports center project has a maximum span of 148 meters and complex shape, there are a large number of anisotropic curve structures and large-span structures. The curtain wall outside the gymnasium is composed of more than 11000 pieces of glass, and the overall shape is arc-shaped and similar to elliptic cone. Each piece of glass has its own size and cannot be replaced by each other. Through the application of BIM Technology, the processing drawings with numbers and three-dimensional coordinates can be automatically generated. Through the combined measurement and correction of accurate measurement technology, error reduction technology and BIM Technology, each piece of glass can be tightly fitted during assembly.

The basement of Nanjing Youth Olympic Sports Park gymnasium is 40000 square meters. After completion, some of them will be used as parking lots, some as equipment rooms, and some as training bases. The first floor is the rest room, security room and conference room for athletes and coaches. The second to fifth floors are auditoriums, and the fourth floor has VIP boxes. The sixth floor is equipment rooms. On the first floor, there is a basketball court in line with the American NBA standard. In the central area of the basketball court, there is also an ice rink. This area is usually a wear-resistant cement floor. When playing basketball, it is paved with detachable movable floor. When it needs to be transformed into an ice rink, it is removed from the floor. There is a pre buried refrigeration system under the ground. While sprinkling water on the ground, it is cooled. After the ice solidifies, it is planed to become an ice rink. Turn off the refrigeration system after use, and the ice will be discharged through the nearby drainage system after melting.

The "grass" of hockey field in Nanjing Youth Olympic Sports Park is blue artificial grass. This kind of artificial grassland material is artificial fiber, which is imported from abroad. In addition to the venues for the Youth Olympic Games, the Youth Olympic Park has also built stadiums and gymnasiums. These two venues will not play a role in the Youth Olympic Games, but will become the sports facilities in Jiangpu area, filling the gap of large-scale sports facilities in Jiangpu area.

The Chengnan river landscape bridge connecting the north and South blocks of the Youth Olympic Sports Park is a curved and twisted bridge with a length of 150 meters. Although the bridge is small, its stress system is the same as that of the "bird's nest". The bridge surface is S-shaped, and the upper structure of the bridge is space curved steel truss structure, which is also S-shaped. The steel consumption of the whole bridge is nearly 2000 tons, and all the steel members are not the same.

Hosting events

From August 16 to August 28, 2014, it hosted four highly ornamental events of rugby, beach volleyball, hockey and wheelbarrow in the 2014 Nanjing Youth Olympic Games. The track of the Youth Olympic Sports Park has passed the certification of the International Cycling Federation.

From July 30 to August 5, 2018, to host the 2018 World Badminton Championship.

From August 31 to September 15, 2019, he will host the 2019 men's Basketball World Cup.

In March 2021, the IAAF indoor track and Field Championships will be held here.
