According to Liaodong annals and Liaoyang county annals, Sifangtai beacon tower was built in 1578 (the sixth year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty), 2.5km south of Anshan Yibao [2]. It was an ancient military communication facility. It used fireworks as information to inform frontier affairs.
The beacon tower is a brick covered tower, the walls are filled with solid soil, and the wall base is built with large stones. The tower is 10.45 meters long from east to west, 9.3 meters wide from north to South [3], 8.6 meters high, made of green brick, with a 1.5 meter high base of green stone wall; the interior of the beacon tower is rammed earth. In 1984, it was approved as a county-level cultural relics protection unit [1], and on July 24, 2009, it was approved as the seventh batch of municipal key cultural relics protection units in Anshan City [4].
For a long time, the beacon tower was seriously damaged. The east wall and the north wall disappeared, and most of the south wall remained. In July 2008, after the repair of Qianshan government, the beacon tower site has been restored
