Development history

Yanji Park was first built in 1909. It was proposed by Wu Luzhen, the frontier Affairs Supervisor, during his inspection in Yanji. It has a history of 100 years. During the period of the Republic of China, the commercial port bureau often engaged in foreign affairs activities here, so it was also called "commercial port Bureau Park". In 1953, it was renamed Yanji people's Park (Yanji park for short). After a hundred years of construction, the park is full of trees, including ancient pines, green meadows and gorgeous flowers, as well as the singing of lions and tigers and the singing of birds.

The first phase of the people's Park project started on August 15, 2017 and was completed on October 30, 2017. The reconstruction includes road engineering, green landscape engineering and sculpture Engineering, including 21000 square meters of new asphalt concrete road, 7500 square meters of new color pavement, 260 trees planted, 72000 square meters of lawn laid, protective repair of the original ancient buildings in the park, demolition and unified greening of 40 dilapidated houses and stalls, new wooden platform and stack Road 4000 square meters, a new landscape pavilion and white fairy sculpture.

In order to further improve the environment of the park and improve the supporting facilities of the park, the second phase of the park reconstruction project was started on April 15, 2018. The second phase of renovation includes two parts: greening landscape project and cage house renovation project. 510 trees are planted in greening landscape project, 42000 square meters of lawn are laid, a new screen platform, 2800 square meters of wooden platform and plank road are built, 76 seats are installed, 22 monitoring points are installed, 16 street lamps are installed, 100 garbage cans are placed, and 160 landscape stones are placed One kind of animal cage house, transformed peacock house, raptor house and large bird house.
