China typhoon Museum

Located in Daishan Island, Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province, China typhoon Museum has a total construction area of 5000 square meters and a total investment of 25 million yuan. It is the first disastrous Museum in China that integrates the functions of science popularization, tourism and scientific research and interprets the occurrence, development and extinction of typhoon. Mr. Chen Lianshou, vice president of China Meteorological Association, inscribed the name of the museum.

Collection

The China typhoon museum displays the disaster and anti taiwan achievements, simulates the typhoon generation and action process, and provides a typhoon field viewing platform. A wave observation and test station is set up in the observation hall. Combined with the scientific research project of "Experimental Study on seawall's ability to resist over seas beyond the standard" of Zhejiang Provincial Department of water resources, the wave elements, overtopping volume and wave striking force of storm surge and engineering are observed, and the overtopping condition is simulated artificially to study the striking force of overtopping water body on the seawall. At the same time, combined with the flume model test, it further verifies the rationality of the analysis and calculation of the seawall wave overtopping, as well as the wave run-up, the overtopping at the top of the seawall and the stress condition of the main parts when the seawall project encounters the super standard storm surge, and puts forward the countermeasures. We will also study the connection between the television supervision system and the network to monitor the situation of the seawall when encountering typhoon storm surge in real time, and transmit the pictures and texts to the provincial, municipal and County flood control headquarters through the information system, so as to provide important reference for leaders and experts in flood control and typhoon prevention decision-making.

China typhoon museum is located at the north end of laomen dam in YANWO scenic area. The exhibition hall built in the first phase displays more than 650 pictures and 57 objects. It is equipped with an advanced automatic remote observation and transmission system for marine environment, which provides reliable data for the effective command of anti Taiwan Work in the whole province. The second phase of 4D dynamic cinema project integrates various high-tech means to artistically create 4D dynamic cinema and simulation system. With participatory and interactive methods, tourists can experience the ferocity, danger and wonder of typhoon personally, and launch the surf watching project at the same time. Since its opening in December 2003, typhoon Museum phase I has received more than 100000 people. On the basis of typhoon Museum, it is expected to build a wind culture park with "typhoon" as the core, highlighting wind science, wind culture, wind entertainment, landscape, wind leisure and wind economy. It is also an innovative move for Daishan County to take the lead in Disaster Tourism in China.

The exhibition hall uses pictures, real objects, typhoon simulation, typhoon science projection and other means to enable visitors to receive vivid and detailed science education; during the typhoon period, visitors can feel the magnificent landscape of startling waves, turbid waves emptying and wind roaring in the observation hall. "Typhoon paradise" 4D dynamic cinema, with high-tech means to simulate the real scene of typhoon, let you experience the shock of the storm, experience the collision between life and nature. Typhoon paradise, with typhoon disaster experience tourism as the core, wind science, wind culture, wind entertainment, landscape as the main content, will become a major brand of Zhoushan marine culture leisure tourism.
