Baoji Botanical Garden
Baoji botanical garden is located in the north of jiangtan Road, Weibin District. Formerly known as Baoji nursery, it was founded in 1979 and renamed Baoji botanical garden in 1985. It is a comprehensive garden unit integrating scientific research, popular science, recreation and greening services. The unit is 2.81 km long and 500 m wide, covering a total area of 1054 mu. The planning is divided into exhibition area, management area, experimental nursery and welfare area. The exhibition area covers an area of more than 600 mu.
Overview of Baoji Botanical Garden
Baoji botanical garden has built an antique banyan gate, 70 mu artificial lake, 2000 square meters square inside and outside the gate, 2834 meters long Youyuan Ring Road, and 10916 square meters in area. More than 700 species, belonging to 250 genera of 110 families, and more than 700000 plants, have been cultivated in China. Now 328 species, belonging to 111 genera of 63 families, have been planted in the exhibition area. "Ten gardens, three places and one area" has been initially built, namely peony garden, rose garden, bamboo garden, Bitao garden, Dingxiang garden, Mulan garden and Haitang garden. In addition, there are also three types of Grassland: cherry garden, pomegranate garden, gorgeous autumn garden, ginkgo grassland, Pinus bungeana grassland, palm grassland, Qinling wild plant introduction and domestication area. And supporting the construction of a residential area, garden environment has been formed.
The garden covers an area of 5.3 mu, with more than 300 plants, including 7 species of 2 genera of Rosaceae. The main varieties are chuisi Begonia, Xifu Begonia, Begonia flower, papaya, papaya Begonia, taping Begonia, narrow leaf begonia; Bitao garden covers an area of 6.6 mu, planting 8 Ornamental Peach Varieties and more than 600 plants. The main varieties are Shantao, hongbitao, baibitao, sajinbitao, ziyetao and chuihe walnut. The bamboo garden covers an area of 5.7 Mu and has planted 780 clumps of Phyllostachys edulis, Phyllostachys heterocycla, Phyllostachys heterocycla, Phyllostachys heterocycla, Phyllostachys heterocycla, etc. The bamboo Pavilion in the center is chic and elegant, with winding paths leading to secluded roads. Cherry plum garden covers an area of 10.9 mu, and 450 Japanese cherry and plum trees are planted. The main varieties are Guanshan, Songyue, luxianxiang, Yingxiang, maocherry, cherry, European cherry, Hongmei, lvmei and meimeimei; the magnolia garden covers an area of 23.8 mu, with more than 700 Magnolia grandiflora, Magnolia grandiflora and Magnolia purpurea cultivated in 12 species; Dingxiang garden covers an area of 10 mu and cultivates more than 100 plants of 9 kinds of cloves. In addition to the local lilac and white cloves, there are also cloves introduced from Beijing Botanical Garden in 1993, such as cleft leaf clove, bergamot clove, Ziyun clove, Changjian white clove, Shijin clove, Loran clove and Bofeng clove. Pomegranate garden covers an area of 26.5 Mu and cultivates 620 fruit pomegranate and flower pomegranate.
Baoji botanical garden is planned to be the largest exhibition greenhouse, bonsai Museum, science museum, grass garden, herb garden, aquatic plant area, environmental protection plant area and endangered plant area in Baoji area. There are 10 gardens, 3 districts and 1 place in the tourist area: Peony Garden, Begonia Garden, cherry blossom garden, Bitao garden, Dingxiang garden, bamboo garden, rose garden, pomegranate garden, magnolia garden, Baihua garden, Qinling introduction area, gymnosperms area, aquatic plant area, urban trees, urban flowers, sparse forest and grassland. Among them, there are 182 species of Qinling plants and 26 species of rare and endangered plants.
