Huangjuemen

Huangjuemen is located in Huangmen village, Nancheng street, Tongliang District, Chongqing city. It stands on both sides of the ancient road up the north mountain of Bayue mountain scenic spot. It is composed of two ancient huangjuemen trees, both of which are more than 300 years old.

The two trees, about 3 meters above the ground, embrace each other in the air and merge into one tree without any gap, forming a natural "door", It can be passed by three tourists side by side; after embracing each other for about one meter, the two trees suddenly separate, stretching their branches to the blue sky until the highest point, their branches and leaves are covered with each other, forming a huge green umbrella to block the sky. Huangjuemen stands on both sides of the ancient road, like two gods of Zhenshan, forming a natural mountain gate, hence the name of huangjuemen. A mountain stream flows by Huangjue gate, a stone arch bridge with a long history accompanies it silently, and several ancient Huangjue trees with similar ages join hands to form their own scenery. Tourists often play, rest, take photos and think about it here, making Huangmen the first scenery to visit Bayue mountain. Huangjueshu is not only a lover tree, but also a mandarin duck tree. The tree is more than 300 years old. The Mountain God separated them from each other, so that they could not depend on each other. Huangjuemen is regarded as a symbol of loyal love, and there are many touching love stories in the local area, so it is also known as lover tree or Mandarin Duck tree. As the representative tree of Huangjue tree species in our city, huangjuemen was famous both inside and outside the city in the 1980s.
