Dali City, Yunnan Province, the first middle school campus quiet, antique, lush flowers and trees, pleasant scenery. In the campus of Dali No.1 middle school, there are the former site of Xiyun academy, a key protected ancient building at the state and municipal levels, as well as famous inscriptions such as "Zhongsong stele", "Xiyun academy stele" and "Yubei stele"; as well as rare ancient trees and international standard plant luohansong, which are all well protected.
Dali No.1 middle school was formerly known as "Xiyun academy". On October 15, 1877 (the third year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty), Yang Yuke, the governor of Yunnan Province, transferred him to Dali and donated his Juefu, farmland and other industries to local schools. Yixidao undertook the "five Fu" (Dali, Chuxiong, Yongchang [now Baoshan], Lijiang, shunning [now Lincang]), and the "three Hall" (Menghua [now Weishan], Jingdong, Yongsheng) public academies, which never left school. Dali No.1 middle school started to run a new school in 1902. It was designated as "the second provincial middle school" in 1911 and "Yunnan Dali middle school" by the provincial government in 1932. It is known as "the highest University in western Yunnan".
Yunnan Dali No.1 Middle School
Dali No.1 Middle School in Yunnan Province (Dali No.1 Middle School) is located in the ancient city of Dali. Dali No.1 Middle School of Yunnan Province was founded in 1911 (1911). It was named Dali No.1 Middle School of Yunnan Province in 1953.
As of June 2010, the school covers an area of 42667 square meters with 36 classes and 1912 students.
Historical evolution
On October 15, 1877 (the third year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty), Yang Yuke, the governor of Yunnan Province, was transferred. He donated the Juefu, farmland and other industries of Dali to the local school. Yixidao undertook the public Academy Xiyun academy, which is the common public Academy of "Wufu" (Dali, Chuxiong, Yongchang (now Baoshan), Lijiang, shunning (now Lincang), "santing" (Menghua (now Weishan), Jingdong and Yongsheng).
In 1902 (the 28th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty), Yixi "College of higher learning" began to set up new schools.
In 1910 (two years in Qing Dynasty), it was named "second model middle school in Yunnan".
In 1911 (the third year of Xuantong of the Qing Dynasty), it was renamed "the second provincial middle school".
In 1928 (the 17th year of the Republic of China), during the term of President Li Jun, the school affairs meeting determined October 15, 1887 as the founding anniversary of the school.
In 1932 (the 21st year of the Republic of China), it was named Yunnan Dali middle school by the provincial government, known as "the highest University in western Yunnan".
In October 1947 (the 36th year of the Republic of China), the school held its 70th anniversary celebration. Lu Han, then president of the provincial government, and Wang Zheng, director of the Provincial Department of education, wrote congratulations for the school.
In May 1949, the Yunnan provincial government decided to merge the provincial Dali women's middle school into Dali Province, and to implement coeducation.
In January 1950, the CPC Dali prefectural committee and Dali special office merged five secondary schools in Dali (provincial Dali middle school, provincial Dali women's middle school, national Dali normal school, county Dali middle school and private Zhongzheng middle school) to form "Dali people's middle school".
In 1951, the school was designated as the key middle school in Yunnan Province.
In 1953, the school was named Dali No.1 Middle School in Yunnan Province, and its name is still in use today.
In July 1993, the school was rated as a third grade complete middle school in Yunnan Province by the Provincial Department of education.
In November 1996, the school was awarded the title of "advanced group of science and technology activities of Yunnan youth Mars project" by Yunnan Association for science and technology, Education Commission and Youth Science and Technology Advisory Committee.
In March 1997, the school was rated as "advanced unit of school moral education in Yunnan" by the Provincial Education Commission.
In May 1995, with the approval of the municipal, state and provincial leading departments, the University and the high school attached to the school of education of Chulalongkorn University in Thailand formed a friendly school and established regular exchange and cooperation relations through mutual visits.
In April 2000, the school was promoted to "Yunnan province level two complete middle school". In November, it was designated as "Modern Educational Technology Experimental School" by the Ministry of education.
In 2011, the school was rated as a first-class middle school in Yunnan Province.

As of June 2010, the school has track and field, basketball, volleyball and football fields in line with national standards, standard physics laboratory, biology laboratory, chemistry laboratory, multi-function voice room, multi-function hall, multimedia computer room and other teaching facilities.
In August 2004, the school built a two-story antique building with 24 classrooms.
Campus network
According to the official website of the school in April 2016, the school built a campus network with backbone Gigabit and 100m switches to the desktop in 2000, and built two student computer rooms, two multimedia classrooms, two voice rooms, teachers' lesson preparation room and other multi-functional classrooms. The second phase of the campus network construction project was started in 2004, and was completed and put into use in September 2004.

As of June 2015, the school library has a collection of 120085 books, which is one of the schools with the largest collection of books in Yunnan Province. The library adopts the management mode of Beijing Normal University and has an intensive library.

As of May 2014, the university has carried out various forms of international exchanges and cooperation with foreign schools such as the high school attached to the school of education of Chulalongkorn University in Thailand, manjiabi middle school in Thailand, boding No.1 Middle School in Thailand, merbin middle school in mildilla City, Australia. Seven groups of 139 teachers and students were sent to Japan, Thailand, Britain, Australia and other countries for educational investigation and visit. More than 150 teachers and students from the United States, Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Australia, Germany and other countries visited the school for educational investigation or exchange visits.
On the morning of April 9, 2012, the German Munich Orchestra went to Dali No.1 Middle School for an exchange performance.

In 2015, there were 46 students with more than 600 scores in college entrance examination, ranking second in Dali. The rate of first edition is 61.62%, ranking second in Dali Prefecture; the rate of second edition is 95.2%, ranking second in Dali Prefecture; the rate of undergraduate course is 100%, ranking first in Yunnan Province.
In 2013, the total online rate of the college entrance examination was 100%, with 74.24% for the first class, 97.13% for the second class, and 100% for the undergraduates. It is the only college with 100% undergraduate rate in the province. For two consecutive years, the first rate and undergraduate rate ranked seventh in Yunnan Province.
In the 2012 college entrance examination, the total online rate of the University was 100%, the rate of one book was 73%, and the online rate of undergraduates was 98.7%. One person (liberal arts) ranked 10th in the province and was admitted by Peking University.
In 2011, the total online rate of college entrance examination was 100%, with 60.20% for one book and 98.9% for undergraduate courses. One person won the first place in Dali liberal arts, the tenth place in the whole province and the first place in mathematics, and was admitted by Peking University.
