China Red Sea is an eco-tourism resort invested and built by Sichuan Red Sea eco agricultural tourism development company. The construction time is from 2012 to 2018. It is a major project of the city. The project, with a planning area of 8 square kilometers and a total investment of 1.5 billion yuan, mainly consists of three parts: Cailin garden, Longdong ancient town and Longdong water town (including Longdong stone city). It will be constructed in three phases to become a national 4A scenic spot and a provincial and National Tourist Resort.

On December 5, 2016, the National Tourism Administration announced that 4A scenic spot of China's Red Sea ecotourism was delisted.

Development history

Suining, known as the "hometown of Guanyin", Pengxi county is an old revolutionary base in China. Pengxi, an old revolutionary base, is a red land. Among them, the Red Army well, formerly known as Longquan, is a shallow pond with a spring. In 1929, Kuang Jixun led the uprising soldiers to dig and expand the well for the common people. China's Red Sea ecotourism area is composed of Longdong ancient town and BaoFan temple. Establishment of scenic spots

The total investment of the project is about 700 million yuan, and it has been successfully established as a national 4A scenic spot (now officially awarded). In 2013, Hongxing reservoir, where the scenic spot is located, won the honorary title of "top ten artificial lakes in Sichuan Province". Since the park opened on October 26, 2013, the Red Sea Scenic Area has received nearly 432000 tourists and achieved a tourism income of about 78.2 million yuan. The company plans to invest about 800 million yuan to start the second and third phase construction of the scenic spot.

Relying on the excellent natural ecological resources of more than 3000 mu Cailin and Hongxing reservoir, the project takes "Bashu culture" as the core, gathers the red of nature, revolution and folk customs, and shapes the theme characteristics of the scenic spot.
