Xi Zhongxun cemetery
The cemetery of Xi Zhongxun, the proletarian revolutionist of the older generation, is located near the ceramic fruit orchard in the northwest of Fuping County, Shaanxi Province. There are Platycladus orientalis, Longbai, Pinus bungeana, fireball, etc. in the cemetery. The stone statue of Xi Zhongxun is located in the center of the cemetery, solemn, solemn, simple and generous. In the park, the statue of Xi Zhongxun and his wife jointly wrote Xi Zhongxun's words: "fight for a lifetime, be happy for a lifetime; struggle every day, be happy every day", which attracted people's admiration.
Life of the characters
Xi Zhongxun was born in Dan village, Fuping County, Shaanxi Province on October 15, 1913. In May 1926, he joined the Communist Youth League of China when he was studying in County Licheng middle school. He became a member of the Communist Party of China in April 1928. Later, he was engaged in agricultural transportation. In January 1930, he was sent to the third brigade of guard cavalry in yanghucheng to carry out military transportation. In March 1932, he launched a mutiny in Liangdang, Gansu Province. After failure, he went to Weibei and Sanyuan to carry out revolutionary work. Since March 1933, he served as political commissar of the general headquarters of the Shaanxi Gansu border guerrillas, Secretary of the Military Commission of the Shaanxi Gansu border special committee of the Communist Party of China, and vice chairman of the Shaanxi Gansu border Revolutionary Committee, and participated in the establishment of the Shaanxi Gansu border revolutionary base with Zhaojin as the center. When Du Heng, the Secretary of Shaanxi provincial Party committee, failed to give up Zhaojin base and go south to Weihe (South) and Huayin (South), he took part in the establishment of the revolutionary base of Shaanxi Gansu border with Nanliang as the center

Since February 1934, he has been chairman of the Shaanxi Gansu border Revolutionary Committee, Acting Secretary of the CPC Shaanxi Gansu border special committee, Secretary of the Military Commission, and chairman of the Shaanxi Gansu border Soviet government. He participated in leading the army to counter the enemy's "encirclement and suppression.". In September 1935, he was detained in the wrong Anti Japanese War, and the leader of the CPC Central Committee was released after arriving in Northern Shaanxi on the long march. In January 1936, he was a member of the Standing Committee of the central Shaanxi special committee of the Communist Party of China and vice chairman of the Soviet government. In June of the same year, he participated in the western expedition and served as secretary of Huanxian county Party committee. In September, he was transferred back to Guanzhong as secretary of the CPC special committee and political commissar of the guerrillas

After the outbreak of the Anti Japanese War, he served as secretary of the CPC Guanzhong prefectural committee, Commissioner of the Commissioner's office, political commissar of the first brigade of the military division and Guanzhong garrison district. In July 1942, he was transferred to the president of the Party School of the Northwest Central Bureau of the Communist Party of China. In February 1943, he served as secretary of the CPC Suide prefectural committee and political commissar of the Suide Mizhi Garrison and the first independent brigade. In June 1945, he was elected as an alternate member of the seventh CPC Central Committee. In July of the same year, he served as political commissar of the Shaanxi Gansu Ningxia border region group army. Together with Commander Wang Shitai, he led his troops to fight back and invade the Yetai mountain area in Chunhua. After the victory of the Anti Japanese War, he was Vice Minister of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee.
In October 1945, he served as secretary of the Northwest Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and political commissar of the Shaanxi Gansu Ningxia Shanxi Suiyuan joint defense army. Since 1947, he has been political commissar of Shaanxi Gansu Ningxia field army group, vice political commissar of Northwest field corps and vice political commissar of field army of northwest people's Liberation Army. He assisted Peng Dehuai in commanding the campaigns of Qinghuabian, yangmahe and Panlong, with three battles and three victories. Then he took part in commanding the Longdong and trilateral campaigns. In July of the same year, he once again served as political commissar of the Shaanxi Gansu Ningxia Shanxi Suiyuan joint defense army, and led the northwest local armed forces and rear work with Commander he long.
Since February 1949, he has been political commissar of the northwest military region and Secretary of the Northwest Bureau of the CPC Central Committee. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, he served as member of the Central People's government, member of the people's Revolutionary Military Commission, vice chairman and acting chairman of the northwest military and political Commission. In September 1950, he was Minister of the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee and deputy director of the culture and Education Committee of the Government Affairs Council. In September 1953, he served as Secretary General of the State Council. In September 1956, he was elected member of the Eighth Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. He served as Vice Premier and Secretary General of the State Council from April 1959 to October 1962

In March 1978, he was elected to the Standing Committee of the fifth CPPCC National Committee. Later, he served as the Second Secretary of Guangdong provincial Party committee and the second political commissar of Guangzhou Military Region. In December of the same year, he was co elected as a member of the 11th CPC Central Committee. He was governor of Guangdong Province in 1979. In 1980, he also served as the first political commissar of Guangzhou Military Region. In September of the same year, he was elected vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the Fifth National People's Congress. In June 1981, at the Sixth Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, he was co elected as the Secretary of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee. In September 1982, he was elected member of the Political Bureau of the 12th CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, responsible for the daily work of the CPC Central Committee. In April 1988, he was elected vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the Seventh National People's Congress and concurrently chairman of the interior and justice committee.
After 1993, he no longer held the leading positions of the party and the state. He died in Beijing on May 24, 2002 at the age of 89
