Longwu River
The Yellow River is a tributary in the east of Qinghai Province. It is also called Longwu Gequ and Gequ. "Longwu River" in Tibetan means "the river where nine streams meet".
General situation of rivers
Longwu River gets its name because it flows through Longwu town. It originated from xiaderi mountain in the south of Yellow River. The source is 4482 meters above sea level. The upstream section is called qumar river. After accepting makokqu, it was called maixiu River, flowing north into maixiu mountain canyon and forest area. After leaving the gorge, zhamaoqu, a tributary, entered Tongren County and was called Longwu River. After that, it runs northward in the wide valley, with a width of about 20 meters and a depth of about 2 meters. It passes through qukuhu, Longwu Town, Baoan, MABA township (town) and Longwu gorge Valley, which is more than 20 kilometers long, and joins the Yellow River in Angla, Jianzha County. Huikou is 2160m above sea level. The river is 156.8 km long, with a drainage area of 4960 square kilometers. The annual average flow is 20.9 m3 / s, the maximum flow is 190 m3 / s, and the annual runoff is 660 million m3. The theoretical reserve of main stream is 220000 kW. Four small hydropower stations have been built with an installed capacity of 11554 kW. Tongren County is one of the pilot counties of electrification in China.

Longwu temple in the Longwu River Valley is a Gelug Temple of Tibetan Buddhism. Its scale, status and influence are second only to Labrang temple in Gansu Province and Ta'er temple in Qinghai Province.
regong art
Regong Art is an important part of Chinese Tibetan Buddhism art and a school with wide influence. From the 15th century, Regong Art originated in Longwu River Basin in Tongren County, Huangnan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province. For hundreds of years, a large number of artists here have been engaged in Folk Buddhist painting and sculpture art. The large number of artists and the exquisite group skills are rare in other Tibetan areas, so they are known as the "hometown of Tibetan painters". Tongren area is called "Regong" in Tibetan, so this art is collectively referred to as "Regong Art".
