There are many opinions about the origin of the marquis. The villagers think that the Marquis is Yang Liangjie, a loyal minister in the late Song Dynasty. He died for protecting the Song Emperor and was deeply admired by later generations.
Yanghou ancient temple is located in the northeast to the southwest with a simple structure. It has only one entrance and three bays. The main hall is dedicated to the Marquis, the left hall is dedicated to the land lord, and the right hall is dedicated to the golden lady.
Due to the flourishing of incense, the ancient temple of Yanghou had many fires in the past.
