Historical evolution

In 1978, Leshan Institute of education was founded.

In 1980, the two schools were separated into Leshan Teachers' Training College and Leshan Teachers' class

In 1982, with the approval of the State Education Commission, Leshan normal college was upgraded to Leshan normal college, and the College of teacher training was renamed Leshan Institute of education

In 1993, Leshan Teachers College was renamed Leshan Teachers College.

On March 21, 2000, with the approval of the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China, Leshan normal college and Leshan Institute of education were merged to form Leshan normal college.

In 2012, it was included in the "counterpart support plan for western universities" of the Ministry of education, and was supported by Wuhan University.

On January 18, 2017, the University was recognized as Sichuan Provincial College Students' innovation and entrepreneurship Park by Sichuan Provincial Department of human resources and social security.

Journal of Leshan Teachers College (Journal of Leshan Teachers College), founded in 1985, is a comprehensive academic and theoretical journal sponsored by Leshan Teachers College and supervised by Sichuan Provincial Department of education. It is the source of Chinese Academic Journal (CD-ROM).

Founded in May 1987, Guo Moruo academic journal is the only academic journal with Guo Moruo as the research object in China, which is in charge of the Propaganda Department of Leshan Municipal Party committee and sponsored by Sichuan Guo Moruo research society.
