The memorial hall of the West Route Army of the Chinese workers' and peasants' Red Army is located in Gaotai County, known as "the ancient capital of Jiangnan and Beiliang", formerly known as Gaotai martyrs' cemetery.
Buried in the park are the loyal bones of more than 3000 revolutionary martyrs of the Red West Route Army, including Dong Zhentang, commander of the fifth Red Army, and Yang Keming, director of the political department, who died in a bloody battle in Hexi. It has become the most comprehensive and authoritative Memorial Hall reflecting the history of the Red West Road army in China. It is also the memorial, exhibition, protection and Research Center for the history of the Red West Road army.
