Lingshui River

Lingshui river is commonly known as Daxi river. In ancient times, it was called lingmudan water, lingzha water and linggong water. It is the fourth largest river in Hainan. Lingshui river originates from xianfangling, Baoting County, enters Lingshui County through Bachun and Shiling, and flows into the South China Sea at Shuikou port through Qunying, Nanping, Timon, Yelin and Lingcheng. The main tributaries of Lingshui River are Baoting River and duzong river. The upper reaches of Lingshui river is Shiling River, which is called Lingshui River after the confluence of Shiling River and Shidong river. The rainfall area is 1131 square kilometers, the total length of the main stream is 73.5 kilometers, the slope is 3.13 ‰, and the total fall is 1059 meters. The average annual rainfall depth is 2040 mm, the average annual runoff is 1.41 billion cubic meters, and the average annual runoff is 44.7 cubic meters per second.

Lingshui River

Lingshui river basin is located in the southeast of Hainan Island, between 109 ° 36 ′～ 110 ° 5 ′ E and 18 ° 28 ′～ 18 ° 47 ′ n. the terrain is high in the northwest and low in the southeast. In the northwest is diaolu mountain range, with mountain groups of more than 1000 meters, such as Sanjiaoling, shuixianling, Qixianling and bobailing. There are niushangling in the northeast, low mountains and hills in the middle, and sedimentary plains in the southeast. In the downstream estuary, the sandbanks on the riverbed are disordered, and the bank erosion and collapse are obvious.

The medium-sized reservoirs built in the basin include Xiaomei, xiaonanping, Liyue, zouzhao, etc. The larger water diversion projects include ticun, duzong, Jincong and some small reservoirs.

There are three primary tributaries over 100 square kilometers in the basin. See table 1-5 for details.
