Aojiao village, located in the southeast corner of Dongshan Island, Fujian Province, is surrounded by the sea on three sides with beautiful scenery. Surprisingly, from a height, the Bay in the south of the village and the Bay in the north of the village form an "X" shape. This is a fishing village integrating marine fishing, mariculture and aquatic products processing. It is quiet and beautiful.

Aojiao is located in Huilai County, Jieyang City, Chaoshan area in the east of Guangdong Province. It is famous for being one of only three places in China where mirages can be seen. The Aojiao management zone has developed fishery and prosperous fish products processing industry. Its main products are fish balls, shrimp balls and cuttlefish balls, which are exported to Hong Kong, the United States, Canada and other countries and regions.

Huilai County, Jieyang City, is located in Chaoshan area in the east of Guangdong Province. Huilai County in the south 8 km, 1 km southeast of Shenquan port promontory

Belt. The population is about 20000. In the Song Dynasty, Cai, Xu, Jiang and other surnamed residents settled here. The village is close to the mountain and the sea. It is a headland area, and the terrain is like Phoenix, so it is named Fengshan. Later, people of the Huang family moved in. Because there is a huge reef in the front of the village, which looks like a citron (citron tide sounds yellow), it is also called Xianghuang Ao. In the 14th year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (AD 1586), it is located in the headland of aowan, so it is renamed today. Most of the buildings are reinforced concrete structure buildings and some ancient style bungalows with tile wood structure. The main seafood products are shrimp, grouper, squid and lobster. There are 230 fishery products processing industries, 10 ice factories, 10 fishing nets and handicrafts, and hundreds of fishing boats. There are 1 middle school, 2 primary schools, 1 medical station, 2 markets and other public facilities. There are roads and highways. In the 56th year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty (1717 A.D.), Yingpan garrison was built on the highland in the north of the village. In 1938, the Japanese invaded, Yingpan was destroyed, and the site still exists. Lin Xinglin, a former commander of the Kuomintang Navy Lieutenant General, is a native of the village.

Aojiao fort is located in the northwest of Aojiao Township, 20 miles south of Huilai County. It is 5 Li to Xidong fort in the East and 5 Li to Shenquan fort in the West. In 1717, it was built to prevent Japanese pirates. There are 6 cannons, 7 barracks, one defense specialist and 18 soldiers. The fort faces east and faces Mingbo. The fort was rammed with shell ash, with battlements, blastholes and pedestrian passageways. The wall is 5.8 meters high, 2 meters thick, 1.3 meters sidewalk, with a total area of 312 square meters. It's still in good condition.

Old aunt's room

The stone cave of old aunt's house is located on the wet beach, which is made up of huge rocks by the sea. The entrance of the cave is very narrow, and people can only enter it sideways. However, the cave is quite spacious, which can accommodate about two mahjong tables. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the beaches were desolate and remote, and pirates often got into the caves to share the spoils. During the cultural revolution, the relationship between men and women was relatively conservative, and the stone cave of the old aunt's house became a secret place for young lovers to make vows of love and private life.

Huilai seaside resort

The seaside resort has an area of 1000 mu, a corridor along the embankment, and a coconut forest with green leaves. During the day, there is a bathing beach for surfing and swimming, a yacht for fishing; at night, there is a beach for barbecue, a reef for stretching limbs, watching the stars and the moon, listening to the breath of the sea. If you lie in the embrace of nature, you will forget the worldliness and feel that you have the sea, the sky and even the whole universe. You are the richest person in nature. Your mind may reach another realm.

One of the three mirages that can be seen in China is Huilai, Guangdong, Putuo, Zhejiang and Penglai, Shandong, which are three coastal towns famous for mirage. It is commonly known as "Golden Lion besieged city". At the end of spring and the beginning of summer, on the calm and windless sea, when you look into the distance, you can sometimes see mountains, ships, towers, pavilions and so on. This is the unique "mirage" in Aojiao Bay, but the local people used to call it "Golden Lion besieged city". According to modern scientific interpretation, it is formed by total reflection of light when it propagates in the air with uneven density distribution, which is an optical refraction phenomenon. The ancients didn't understand it. They thought it was formed by the air from the dragon in the sea, so it was called mirage.

Nine nine steps treasure code

Among the eight scenes in Aojiao, the most mysterious one is "ninety nine steps". Piracy was rampant in Ming and Qing Dynasties. At that time, the "audu" beach in Aojiao village was inaccessible, full of Acacia trees growing naturally. At night, the sea breeze blew and the trees clattered, which was extremely gloomy. Pirate ships often dock here to share stolen goods and treasure. It is said that on a moonlit night, some people witnessed pirates carrying silver ship by ship to the "audu" coast, bringing in 18 sampans. The pirates buried the stolen silver in the woods of "audu" beach, then carved a mark on the big Bluestone beside the ninety-nine steps, and left by boat. From then on, I don't know why, and never come back.

There has always been a legend in Aojiao village that if anyone can decipher the stone code of "ninety nine steps", he will find the treasure of pirates. Since the Ming and Qing Dynasties, many local people have devoted themselves to studying the treasure map on the big stone, but no one has ever been able to untie the twists and turns of the patterns and symbols like earthworms. Many conceited and intelligent people in Huilai County have heard about it, but they have failed.

Before liberation, private school education was the main form of education, such as: private school teachers set up their own schools; ancestral halls set up education schools; rich people and landlords set up family schools. Such ancestral halls gave birth to many talented people: Lin Xinglin (director of the Political Department of the Kuomintang Navy), Huang Yaoqing (commander in chief of the Kuomintang Revolutionary Army in eastern Guangdong), etc.

Sports literature and art

Football: in the Spring Festival of 2012, the first Aojiao Football League was founded, led by Jameson (leader of the hiking team), Huang Chuwu (member of the coastline team), supported by the township government and sponsored by the local leaders. The first Aojiao Football League attracted five Aojiao teams and two foreign teams, including Guangzhou coastline (Champion), hiking (runner up), Shenzhen coastline (second runner up), Dongyang, Fengyun, Shenquan town team (absent) and Jinghai Town Team.

Basketball game: the most mature game in the village, is an indispensable program for the Spring Festival every year, and is also the most eye-catching team for families with school-age girls. The Aojiao basketball team was founded in 1953. Its members include Lin Changquan, Wu Yongping, Fang Longzhang, Zhu Qingquan and Zhang Shizhen. The players are mature in playing and are invincible all over the town. They are also top teams in the county. Even the basketball team stationed in Aojiao at that time was defeated by the Aojiao team many times. The title competitions include: Hongpeng cup, hanlai cup, etc.

Chess: Aojiao chess club was established in 2005. Since its establishment, Aojiao chess club has won many good achievements: in 2008, Huang Wensheng won the South cup, Huang Wenxiang and Huang Hancheng won the county and town league championship. Competitions are held every Spring Festival in the Aojiao management area.

You Caiqi: local people call it "Xingqi" and "yingnao fever". It is the favorite program of the village and surrounding villagers, and it is also the traditional Spring Festival program of the whole Chaoshan area. The formation is generally composed of: danpao team, gongs and drums team, fish dance team, student band, and colorful flag team (Beauty team).

The flag bearers of the colorful flag team are usually unmarried young men and women in the village, which is also the most eye-catching team for families with single men. Including: national flag (male flagman), dragon head flag (heavyweight beauty flagman), followed by nearly 100 beautiful flagmen carrying the colored flag, phoenix tail flag (heavyweight beauty flagman).

Dragon Boat Race: local people call Dragon Boat Race "Dragon Boat Race". Before the release of Jie 672818, Aojiao had the custom of picking dragon boats every Dragon Boat Festival. At that time, there were five societies in Aojiao: gongtou society, chizai society, shantouding society, Dashe society, dajingxiang society, two dragon boats in Dashe and one in other societies. Due to historical reasons, dragon boat racing was abolished as "four old".

Music: when it comes to music, Aojiao gongs and drums are absolutely superb in Huilai County! Huang Xiangtong is a first-class drummer. One spring festival, on the way to the county, they met with another team of gongs and drums. The two sides used music to compete. As a result, the rhythm of the other team's gongs and drums was out of order.
