Original name
There is a little-known story about Dajia island. After the middle of the Qing Dynasty, the Qing government carried out the sea ban in order to restrain business. Businessmen travelling between China and South Asia had to store their cargo on several small islands in Daya Bay near the mainland. Those who fled to the sea from Huizhou took these islands as places of robbery, and Dajia island was one of the main places. In order to better hide the looted property, the pirates sank some of them into the nearby sea, salvaged them when necessary, and then disguised themselves as merchants to sell them in Shenzhen, Huiyang and Huidong. In order to pray for the protection of the gods, superstitious pirates specially asked Mr. Yin Yang to change the name of the island. At the beginning, the island was renamed "big six armour", in which "armour" means armed, and "big six" means the combination of the six islands. This name coincides with the sentence "60% of the water and land in the heaven and life" in the book of changes, symbolizing the rolling financial resources. There is also a saying that when local officials check the source of the pirates' goods, they often use Chaoshan dialect to answer, often pronouncing "six" as "spicy", so the island is called La Jia Island, and "Da Jia island" comes from the homonym of "La Jia island". No matter how the name of Dajia island comes from, I hope to set foot on this mysterious island as soon as possible.
Pirates of Dajia Island
At the end of Ming Dynasty, after the decline of Zhu Dynasty, an official of Zhu family fled to Huizhou to avoid the war. He became a businessman and secretly supported Zheng Chenggong's anti Qing cause. When the Qing government learned of this, in order to put an end to the Ming uprising and prevent Zheng Chenggong from invading the inland coastal areas, it carried out the sea ban and wantonly killed people surnamed Zhu. So the official fled to the sea with his family and organized hundreds of people to rob coastal cities. According to the name of "Dalajia island", he changed "Zhu" to "a". Later, the pirate team with surname a got tired of the life of pirates and settled down on the island. However, after the middle of the Qing Dynasty, this small island, which was once a necessary passage of the maritime Silk Road, became a tourist destination for pirates who were active in other coastal areas of China and made a living by robbing merchant ships. Of course, the women who robbed the property by the way were also distributed to the island. The women came from all over the world, from blue eyed, white skinned Europeans to shrewd Jews and short South Asians. These women intermarried with the descendants of surname a and started a new life on the island.
