brief introduction
Baipu temple is a cultural relic protection unit in Mentougou District of Beijing. It is located at the foot of Jincheng Mountain in the north of yubai village, Yanchi Town, Mentougou District. In the early years of the Liao and Qian dynasties, the believers in Changping, Yuhe, Fanshan and Huailai raised funds to build a Buddhist temple on the spot, which was initially named Baipu temple, and later changed to "Baipu Shoufeng Temple", commonly known as Baipu temple. In the late Liao Dynasty, master Yuanzheng, an eminent monk of Huayan sect, traveled to Jincheng Mountain in Wanping County of Yanjing to spread Buddhism. It was rebuilt in Jin, yuan, Ming and Republic of China. The temple faces south in the north, with a gate tower in front, three main halls and three side halls. At present, the west side of the temple is the pagoda, with Yuanzheng master pagoda, yuanyan elder pagoda
Benqin Zen master tower. Yuanzheng master's tower was built in 1146, a combination of dense eaves tower and covered bowl tower, which is rare in ancient pagodas. Yuanyan elder's tower was founded by Zen master Benqin, a disciple of yuanyan elder, in 1248. It is a popular shijingchuang style tomb tower in the Jin and Yuan Dynasties. Now only eight prism shaped tower body and canopy are left. The inscription on the tower body records yuanyan's trace, The pagoda was built in the second year of Dade (1298) of the Yuan Dynasty. It is also a tombstone of shijingchuang type. Now there are only eight square stone column shaped pagodas. The characters "Li" and "Ji" in the inscriptions of the pagoda are the same as those of today's simplified characters. On the east side, there are three Dragon King halls, which belong to the animal kissing hall on the main ridge. They were originally dedicated to empress, Emperor Guan and Dragon King. There are color murals on both walls. The east wall is the story of Guandi, and the west wall is the story of the Dragon King, which is composed of many groups of small pictures. After the main hall, there are stone pillars, which are relics of the Jin Dynasty. There are stone tablets in the temple during the yuan, Ming and Republic of China periods, including the "record of the industry of Baipu Shoufeng Buddhist temple in Jincheng Mountain, Wanping City", which was set up in 1296 of the Yuan Dynasty. The inscriptions in regular script mainly describe the various industries of Baipu temple, and are the material materials for studying the temples of the Yuan Dynasty. According to the inscriptions, there are many temples in Baipu, such as "Longquan courtyard in Baiyang village", "Chongxing courtyard in Yanchi village", "one in Qinyu village", "Shaoxiang courtyard in shangantongbao village" and "Fu Temple in Huailai County, Shangdu road".

However, in the early years of the Republic of China, a warlord attached great importance to this geomantic treasure land of Baipu temple. He wanted to move his ancestral grave here and led his troops to destroy it. The villagers in yubai village, the nearest to linbaipu temple, are determined to build Baipu temple. However, Baipu temple is not much bigger than the previous Baipu temple. It is just a three in one courtyard temple. The Baipu temple in the Sanhe courtyard was finally destroyed by the "Cultural Revolution". The Thousand Buddhas who did not dare to be destroyed by the warlords were destroyed. The big bronze bells were sold and the "big trumpet" for propaganda was bought. Only one ancient pagoda of Liao Dynasty was left. Master Huineng was born in yubai village, which is the nearest to linbaipu temple. When he was young, he was different from other children. He was inherited by Buddhism. After all kinds of hardships, he became a monk. He led many residents to build roads in 1998 and built Baipu temple again.

The ancient pagoda of Liao Dynasty is on the right side of Daxiong hall, and the newly built pharmacist pagoda is on the left side of Daxiong hall. There are Jialan hall, pharmacist hall, Mituo hall, zushi hall and monks on both sides. The two sides of the corridor encircle the hall, winding to the Dharma hall and the Sutra library. On the left is the Abbot's room, and on the right is xiaoshiqiao to fangshengchi. Zhaitang and four storey building. Halls, halls and buildings are connected everywhere.
