Qiandongnan Ethnic Museum
Qiandongnan Ethnic Museum, a comprehensive museum, is located at No.5, Guangchang Road, Kaili City, Guizhou Province. It started construction in 1985, opened on July 23, 1988, and opened free of charge in 2009. It covers an area of 11000 square meters with a construction area of 7421 square meters.
There are four basic exhibitions and one temporary exhibition hall in Qiandongnan Ethnic Museum, namely, the state information Museum, the Ethnic Culture Museum, the costume museum and the Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum
There are more than 12000 pieces in the collection, including Miao and Dong ethnic costumes and some ancestor worship and living utensils in yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. The cultural relics in the collection are divided into unearthed, revolutionary social construction, production and life.
In 1989, Qiandongnan Ethnic Museum was designated as a tourist site for foreign affairs in Guizhou Province. In 2000, it was named as a patriotic education base by Guizhou provincial Party committee and people's government
In 2007, it was named as the national education base for national unity and progress by the National People's commission.
On July 15, 2019, the people's Government of Kaili city officially listed Qiandongnan Ethnic Museum as a historical building of Kaili city.

Venue features
Qiandongnan Ethnic Museum has a detailed introduction to Qiandongnan's human geography and ethnic customs, including text, pictures and objects. The appearance of the museum integrates the architectural art style of Miao and Dong people. The central tower adopts the form of double eaves of Dong Drum Tower, and the East and West towers adopt the form of Miao stilts. It emphasizes that Southeast Guizhou is the "hometown of Miao and Dong people" by its appearance.

On May 18, 2019, Qiandongnan Ethnic Museum launched a series of activities on May 18, 2019 International Museum Day in the form of "entering the metropolis" with ethnic cultural characteristics

On June 15, 2019, the opening ceremony of "Guizhou Qiandongnan ethnic minority clothing and ethnic culture and natural ecology photo exhibition" held by Putian Museum and Qiandongnan Ethnic Museum was held in Putian Museum.
On July 1, 2019, the Party branch of Qiandongnan Ethnic Museum actively organized all Party members to go deep into helping the contact point. Aihe village, Jinbao Town, carried out a series of activities to celebrate the "July 1" anniversary, such as the joint construction of the Party branch, condolence for the poor old party members, revisiting the oath of joining the party, red song competition, and the party's knowledge contest, and took practical actions to celebrate the party's glorious 98th birthday.
