Meiligengzhao
Meiligengzhao was founded in 1677. Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty gave it the name of Guangfa temple, which is famous for reading Mongolian scriptures. There are 24 temples.

In 1960, due to the change of administrative division, it belonged to the suburb of Baotou City (now Jiuyuan District). In the early days of liberation, meiligengzhao occupied an area of 24000 square meters, with a construction area of 4520 square meters and five halls. The statue of Calais Buddha in Dadu palace is eight Zhang and one foot tall. At the most, there were more than 500 lamas, with fixed salaries of more than 100. During the cultural revolution, temples, Buddhist statues, scriptures and sacrificial vessels were destroyed. After the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee, the religious policy was implemented and the normal religious activities were gradually restored. So far, there are nine reincarnated Living Buddhas in meiligengzhao. The ninth living Buddha, menkebatu, returned to meiligengzhao on December 13, 1990 and has been in charge of educational affairs ever since.
Meiligeng scenic spot is located in Kundulun, Baotou City, about 30 kilometers away. It is backed by the foot of Wula mountain with green pines and cypresses. It is about 1 kilometer away from National Highway 110 and Baotou Lanzhou Railway in the south. There are perennial streams in the East. The scenery is very elegant. There are 9 buses in the city, and the traffic is very convenient
