Wenhai used to be one of the main roads of the tea horse ancient road on the Yunnan Tibet line. The horse Gang often stayed here to raise mules and horses. In late spring, all kinds of rhododendrons are blooming all over the mountains. The colorful clusters of rhododendrons are very beautiful. Wenhai

Wenhai is one of the areas of Lashihai plateau wetland Provincial Nature Reserve in Lijiang, Yunnan. It is located at the southwest foot of Fandou, the main peak of Yulong mountain, with an average altitude of 3180 meters.

Wenhai is a seasonal tourist attraction at the foot of Yulong Snow Mountain in Lijiang. In spring and summer, Wenhai is a sea of flowers, which is the most worthwhile tourist attraction in Lijiang. Wenhai, Wenhai village, Baisha Township, Yulong County, Lijiang, has an average altitude of 3100 meters. Lijiang Wenhai Tourism

Ride to Wenhai. There are no tickets in Wenhai, but with the development of Lijiang tourism, the villagers living near Wenhai have begun to collect tickets in Wenhai. There are many animals and plants living in the forest around Wenhai village, including musk deer and white bellied Caragana. They usually hide in the pine forest at high altitude, but the variety of Rhododendron here is also unforgettable. More than 20 of the world's 850 species of rhododendrons can be found here. In late spring, all kinds of rhododendrons are blooming all over the mountains. Colorful clusters of rhododendrons are dotted in the mountains, including purple, pink and white.

At present, Wenhai of Lijiang Xinuo flower Co., Ltd. is building a flower field town and the world's highest bulb base. At present, it has planted more than 700 mu of tulips, lilies, hyacinths, hydrangeas and other flowers, and it is planned that there will be 10000 mu of flower fields by 2020. At present, nearly 100 mu tulips have been opened to the public, and the rest of the flowers will be developed here. Moreover, Huatian is currently developed free of charge, so it is very worthwhile to visit.

Hiking route

Take bus No.6 or rent a car to Baisha ancient town, hike over the hillside from the northwest of Baisha ancient town, and then arrive at Wenhai pass to Dawen

The sea takes about 3-4 hours. There are many hillsides and beautiful scenery of Yulong. The scenery is very beautiful. You can overlook the Baisha area. Wild flowers are everywhere from March to October.

Take bus No.6 or rent a car to yushuizhai, go up the uphill horse road on the east side of yushuizhai, go to Yulong reservoir (Edinburgh botanical garden, UK), and then follow the road (dirt road to Wenhai westward). It takes about 3.5 hours. A bird's-eye view of Lijiang Bazi shows a lot of wild flowers, especially from May to September.

Take bus No.30 or rent a car to meiquan village in the north of Lashihai, go up along the source of Lashihai water, pass by Qixian lake, and finally reach Wenhai. This route is muddy in rainy season because there are many people riding on horseback in Lashihai. It takes about 3.5 hours.

From the hillside on the west side of Shuhe ancient town, you can climb up the path and have a bird's-eye view of Shuhe ancient town and Lijiang Bazi along the way. It takes about 3.5 hours.

After arriving at Wenhai, you can choose to walk from Wenhai to Baisha, Shuhe ancient town, Lashihai, or continue to Xuehua village - changsongping - Longpan - Hutiaoxia. There are several small hotels in Wenhai. At present, there is no bus or bus line to Wenhai, so we need to prepare for the return traffic in advance.

Precautions for hiking: you need to have outdoor hiking experience. The highest altitude of the above routes is close to 3500 meters.
