Martyrs Mountain Park

Anshan martyr mountain park is located in the center of Anshan City, Liaoning Province, on the north-south axis of Anshan City and the southernmost section of Shengli road. The martyr mountain park is named after the martyr mountain in the park. It is the only Memorial Park for the people of the whole city to look forward to and commemorate the revolutionary martyrs.

The total area of the park is 375000 square meters, which is divided into four parts: Memorial area, elderly activity area, water scenic area and children activity area. On the east side of the memorial area, there is a memorial hall for martyrs, where not only remains, vows and deeds of martyrs are listed, but also various exhibitions are held. It is a place for patriotism and revolutionary heroism education. The elderly activity area is 42000 square meters, with water, spring, music and dance hall, which is specially used for elderly fitness activities. The waterscape is located in the southeast of the park, with yingzehu as the center, with a radius of 127000 square meters. The lake and island depend on each other, and the bridge and rock accompany each other

Since its establishment in 1952, lieshishan park has been planted with flowers, plants and trees, with more than 100000 square meters of lawn, covering more than 80% of the total area. At present, there are more than 40 species and more than 130000 plants of various tree species, such as liaomei, Shanmei, Zishu, Huoju, xianghuahuai, huangjinhuai, jinsixiu, Bitao, Furong, hongruimu, clove, rose, etc.

Martyr mountain

The martyr mountain is 97.5 meters above sea level. There is a martyr monument on the top of the mountain. It is one of the landmark landscapes of Anshan City Center and a patriotic education base. From the bottom of the mountain to the top of the mountain, there is a stepped road with 250 stone steps, which means the long march of the Red Army.

Martyr mountain has a long history. According to the map of Liaoyang in the chronicles of Liaoyang Prefecture, there is a mountain in the north of Anshan post, which is called "Le Gao Shan"

Today's martyr mountain. Martyr mountain was originally known as "zhenshou mountain". In 1924, Japanese colonists built a shrine at the foot of Shandong and usurped its name as "Shenshe mountain". In April 1946, the national government renamed "Shenshe mountain" as "Zhongling mountain". On February 19, 1948, Anshan City was liberated. On September 28, 1949, the first people's Congress of Anshan City named it "martyr mountain" to commemorate the martyrs who died in the liberation of Anshan and set it up as a memorial park.

On the eve of the liberation of Anshan in 1948, the 25th division of the 52nd army of the Kuomintang stationed in Anshan cut down all the trees on the "Zhongling mountain", and the martyr mountain became a bare mountain. Under the leadership of various governments after liberation, the martyr mountain has been carrying out environmental improvement and greening. Especially in March 1957 and March 1958, the municipal government called on the general public to fight for 30 days to make "the steel capital into a forest sea, Anshan into a garden" and make the martyr mountain green again in a short time.

monument to revolutionary martyrs

The monument to the martyrs is the main body of the martyrs mountain. It was first built in November 1950, when it was 11 meters high. Later, it was stopped because of the war to resist US aggression and aid Korea

. It was continued in 1975 and completed on February 19, 1978.

The monument is 21 meters high, with white marble reliefs on three sides of the base. On the front, Zhu De, commander in chief and marshal of the Chinese people's Liberation Army, the first vice president of the people's Republic of China and the first chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, wrote an inscription for the monument: "the revolutionary martyrs will never die.". The main theme of the inscription on the back is "the revolutionary martyrs who died bravely during the domestic revolutionary war are immortal", "the revolutionary martyrs who died bravely during the Anti Japanese War and for the liberation of Anshan are immortal", "the great revolutionary spirit and glorious heroic deeds of the martyrs who are infinitely loyal to the people are immortal"

Memorial Hall

Anshan Martyrs Memorial, located in martyrs Mountain Park, was completed and opened on April 5, 1952

It is a castle style antique building. Peng Zhenti, former chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, wrote the name of the Memorial Museum. In 1985, Anshan Municipal government and Anshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. jointly invested in the relocation and expansion of the martyrs' Memorial Hall, which was originally located on the west side of the main entrance of the martyrs' mountain and was rebuilt to a new site. In 1998, Anshan Municipal government invested in the reconstruction and expansion of the memorial hall, with the building area expanded from 1080 square meters to 4000 square meters. The exhibition content was added, the display form was updated, and a multi-functional film hall and six temporary exhibition halls were added. In addition to the regular exhibition, typical educational exhibitions were often held or jointly held. Reopened to the public in August 2019

The memorial hall was named "patriotic education base" by the Ministry of civil affairs in 1995, "patriotic education base" by Anshan Municipal Party committee and government in 1996, "moral education demonstration base for primary and secondary school students" by Anshan Municipal Party committee and government in 1998, "patriotic education demonstration base of Liaoning Province" by Propaganda Department of Liaoning provincial Party committee in 2001 and "patriotic education demonstration base of Liaoning Province" by Liaoning provincial Party committee in 2005 The provincial Party committee and the provincial government awarded the "civilized unit" and the provincial women's Federation awarded the "patriotic moral education demonstration base for small citizens" in 2006. In December 1998, it was named "Liaoning national defense education base" by the provincial National Defense Education Commission, and in April 2007, it was renamed "Liaoning national defense education base" by the provincial government.

The fighter

At the foot of the martyrs mountain and in the open space in front of the memorial hall, there is a special plane, the 50619 fighter, which is the first generation jet fighter developed by China. It was donated to Anshan City by the first division of the air force in July 2002.

"50619" fighter, 15.015 meters long, 9 meters wingspan, 3.885 high, 16000 meters ceiling, 1320 kilometers per hour, number "50619" on behalf of the Air Force Aviation Division Building anniversary.

Since 1962, the aircraft has served in a division of the Air Force stationed in Anshan, which enjoys the reputation of "the first division of the air force". Over the past 40 years, he has made the first record of shooting down the enemy's unmanned aerial reconnaissance aircraft; in China's two bombs experiments, he successfully passed through the mushroom cloud for safety sampling; he has successfully completed Chairman Mao Zedong's southern patrol security tasks for many times; he has successfully completed more than 50 major tasks, including the National Day parade, the round battle of entering Fujian, Yunnan, Guangxi and Tibet, the guided missile test firing, scientific research test flight, and the defense of Angang.

The glorious history of fighting in the long sky has created brilliance and inspired future generations. In July 2002, a division of the Air Force stationed in Anshan donated the "50619" aircraft to Anshan City, in order to encourage the Anshan people with glorious revolutionary tradition to build a 21st century model city of "double support" between the army and the local people with hard work and wisdom, and build a more beautiful, rich and civilized new Anshan City

Water scenic spot

Yingze lake and Hehua lake are two artificial lakes in martyr mountain park.

Yingze lake was built in 1987 with a surface area of 30000 square meters and a water depth of 1.5 meters. Yingze lake is divided into South Lake and North Lake. The two lakes are bounded by an arch bridge. When you look at them, you can see the momentum of "connecting the sky and reflecting the sun".

Lotus Lake, located near the main gate, was built in 1976 with an area of 1764 square meters and an average depth of 1.7 meters. In recent years, in cooperation with the social welfare department, the park has set up national fitness equipment on the North Bank of the lake for nearby residents to keep fit.
